If you're not particularly fond of private accommodations and the sometimes bothersome hosts that come with them, the Hotel Biševo in the charming town of Komiža on the island of Vis is your sole hotel option. While it may bear a 2-star rating and hasn't undergone recent renovations, this hotel offers several compelling features.

First and foremost, the breathtaking view, commendable cleanliness, in-room air conditioning, secure bicycle storage, and complimentary parking make it a noteworthy choice. Yet, what truly sets it apart is its unbeatable location: just steps away from the beach, the heart of the town, a diving center, and various hiking trails. It's all right at your doorstep.

Not to be overlooked is the hotel's extremely competitive pricing, which is often more affordable than what you'd pay for a private apartment. What's more, you receive numerous benefits, including a simple yet satisfying buffet breakfast with options like eggs, cheese, and salami. In summary, Hotel Biševo is an easy choice, and I'm definitely planning to return.

Amazing View - you will love it!

The hotel is near the sea, a big parking place, nice ambient, from the room is a beautiful panorama to the sea and the island Bisevo. Prices are acceptable, the food is self-service and it is excellent. The staff is very friendly. But the hotel is old and needs reconstruction.

A nice place to rest

Very good location but very unpleasant reception staff. We were there wit childa. They billed as full price for 6-year old child. Then we made complaint becasue on website is written that the children is gratis with two adults, and then they made us new bill with minor price without any excuse.

Not reccomended

The hotel has a great view , staff is friendly (although no good knowledge of English) but we were very disappointed because of the kitchen.  As a vegan person,  I always inform the hotel in advance about my diet, so they have time to think about options.  They confirmed they would foresee also a vegan meal, but during my stay I only had the choice between cooked broccoli or raw tomatoes and this all days in a row. Occasionally, there was a boiled potatoe .  So to resume, it is a nice hotel on a lovely location  but if you have vegetarian or vegan people in the group , avoid this hotel.

We enjoyed every moment, food was very good and we had everything we needed.
Next year we are coming back .I  recommend it ,
Also, Komiža is a beautiful place. The whole island is great, There are  lot places to visit.


Great hotel on the beach

Amazing view to the sea,polite staff,tasty meals.Hotel is on the beach,total relax.
Value for money is excellent.
It was so good that we prolonged our stay in hotel.
We are coming back next summer for sure!

Nice and relaxing holidays

Very friendly staff, each year food is getting better and better, situated on the beach. The only thing that needs improvement are beds and air conditioning. And Komiža is my favourite place on the Croatian coast.

Excellent value for money

As we travel with 3 adults,  the room was very basic and small.  The staff were very pleasant and helpful, we wanted 4 star as the rooms are a bit larger, but on this side of island only hotel.  Staff did make sure we got to port for trip  to blue cave so appreciate there help.

Hotel Bisevo

It's very nice socialist hotel, you have a feeling like you returned back in time when everything was slower and relaxed :) It would be great if they use it as their advantage and offer an experience of old time Yugoslav tourism. 
Rooms are spacious enough, functional and clean. Staff is excellent! I've never met better staff, especially those working in a restaurant are great! Food is decent, could be improved, especially vegan options, and terrace restaurant is beautiful.
Beach in front is very nice. Ask for see or riva view :)
It's great place for organizing events or just relaxing.

Essence of the good old times

Hotel Biševo is an old hotel (part of it it is built in 1964 and the other part in 1980), actually it is the only one in Komiža. In spite of its years, it is very clean and quiet, the staff is very kind and always at guests service. Situated right next to the beatch it offers beautiful view on the Komiža bay and on Hum, the highest point on the island of Vis (587 meters above sea level). They serve only breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts are not so rich as one might be used to in other hotels, but it is good. For dinners you have to order your meal today for tomorrow (you can choose between two or three dishes). The food is very tasty.
