Fantastic visit, as always at Guest House Jelsa! This time we spent 8 nights , and we are very satisfied with everything here. Clean, top service and fantastic view to the sea and the town. Friendly and very helpful owner and his mother. We hope to be back nexth summer.  We rented bicykles in town, and then it is very easy to visit beaches in Jelsa and Vrboska.  

Fantastic stay

We stayed at a small cute and cozy appartement overlooking Jelsa town, with beautiful view to the sea, Jelsa and very nice house garden. The center of Jelsa and seafront are reached via cute old Jelsa's streets. Landlords are super kind and were always at our service. In the room, as a present, we got a bottle of Hvar local wine :D App. is clean and has all necessary. We also had place to park our bikes. Recommended-best buy! 

Recommended - beautiful view to the sea

Location: short and steep walk from the harbor. Great view of the sea.

Room: very clean, cozy and noiseless 

Service: great service from the welcoming lady who owns the building. However, she does not speak much English.

Lovely guesthouse with a great view!

When we come back to Jelsa - only to this guest house! It is slightly uphill so one has to walk some steps to get there (as well as plan what to take with you to avoid unnecessary comebacks). That is compensated by extremely clean and neat rooms with regular change of bedclothes and towels, an unbelievably sweet owner woman, who is always ready to answer some questions or assist in anything one might need and magnificent views. Best of best!

Awesome

Myself & my partner arrived in Jelsa with just the address of the property but we had difficulty finding the correct street - after asking several dog walkers who didn't know where the street was either, we came across some elderly local men having a few beers outside a supermarket - we asked them and they kindly used their mobile phone to find the contact details & ring the guesthouse owner... Lovely people.

The owner came to pick us up and showed us where we should have turned - perhaps it was a good thing that we got lost because the route from the harbour to the apartment goes up about 100 steps!! Not suitable for people who have difficulty in walking. 

The room was nice - big and clean. The bathroom was also good, very powerful shower. There was free wifi advertised but neither of us were able to even locate it yet alone connect to it for our night's stay. 

The best part about this guesthouse was the balcony - it was very big and had lowly views of the harbour. 

There isn't very much going on in Jelsa and we were only staying for one night, but even so we enjoyed our stay. 

Hard to locate at first 

My girlfriend and I travelled there two weeks ago. Our host, Stephan (I'm not sure how the name is spelled) and his mum were very helpful. Stephan called us in Croatia, awaited us at a fixed location on the island after we got off the ferry, showed us to our room and even gave us a bottle of wine on the house. The room and bathroom were very clean, it had everything we needed. The bed was huge, it was very comfortable, we haven't had such good sleep in a while. The small balcony had a table and two chairs. Our room did not have a view of the sea, but they have rooms which do, and because the guest house is on top of a hill, you get an excellent view of the sea and the harbour. There is a barbecue which everyone can use. The parking space is a bit small compared to the number of guests, and there were times when we had to move our car from one spot to another, but I can't say that it was a big inconvenience, and it also wasn't very frequent (3 times in 8 days I think). Stephans mum was also very helpful, she gave us a jar of home made tangerine jam as a souvenir. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, I definitely recommend this place!
