Across a quiet road from a swimming jetty, views across the bay and out to sea. 15 to 20 minute walk to Lumbarda town, a couple of restaurants before you get there. The apartments are basic, but comfortable enough, who needs more in August anyway. The wifi is weak, better on the terrace itself, but rather nice to have a break. Ivana, the housekeeper, was great.

Great location

We loved our stay at the Seaman's house.  My husband, myself & our friend had a one bedroom apartment & it was plenty of space for three (as long as somebody does not mind sleeping on a futon in the common area).  By far & away, the best part of the place was the HUGE balcony that we had (requesting a room with a sea view is a MUST).  We spent many lovely evenings sitting out there, enjoying the sunset and the sounds of the sea.  The neighborhood was nice & quiet (especially when compared to Korcula town), however, if you are interested in being in the center of the action/nightlife-this is determinately not the place for you.  We had a car & it was about a 5-10 min drive to Korcula town.  It would have definately been a pain to stay in Lumbarda without a car.  

Unfortunately, I do have a couple of complaints about the Seaman's house.  First of all-it was incredibly difficult to fine.  I booked our stay through booking.com & the directions on the website were totally inaccurate.  Google maps even sent us to the wrong location! We ended up having to go to the Lumbarda tourist office & the nice people there made some phone calls & FINALLY got in touch with the owner, who gave us better directions.  Once we were there, we also noticed that the description of the amenities on booking.com was pretty inaccurate.  The site claimed that we had a private beach, breakfast available for 7 euros, and that the owner would be available to set up scooter, bike, kayak, etc. rentals.  The reality is that the "private beach" is a shared piece with about 5 or 6 other units & is right next to a restaurant/tour rental company (little privacy), but we could to walk about 50 meters to find a quieter spot.  Additionally, the owner was NO WHERE to be found for the entire 5 days we were there-we set up scooter rentals ourselves in Korcula town, and there was certainly no breakfast available.  

None of these things ruined our stay-we still really enjoyed a nice, clean apartment with a great view in a great location.  We just felt that booking.com really misrepresented the Seman's House amenities. As long as you know this, I rec commend staying here as it is a great value and we had a lovely time.

Sweet place to stay-different than described on website

Location is perfect , quiet, clean and in front of the sea. But wifi doesn t exist, they charge you more than estipulated on booking, they charge us for and extra bed when we where 3 and in the apartment there were allready 4 beds, so we end up with 5 beds for 3 , and pay 10 extra euros per night.no kayaks or bikes to rent in the place.
