We were accomodated in depedance Primorka (2☆); the furniture is terrible - at least 30 years old, just like the mattresses and the bathroom. No A/C (fan). It's clean though, the staff is polite and the food is great.

Stuck in the 80's

Lovely location of this hotel is very old fashion from 1966 but is cute very Art Deco. The furniture is old but is what it is. The hotel was clean , the people working in there were nice and polite. Is near by the the beach and the airport. Has parking. Each room has a nice balcony. Does not have hairdryer, iron & iron board and   mini bar  maybe they provide for you if you ask.… this hotel has a great potential to be amazing if someone invest.

Has an amazing potential to be a great hotel

It's cheap and at the same time there's nothing really much to complain about. Everything is like from communist times and not flashy but clean and quite cozy.  Across the bay there’s probably a crude oil terminal and several huge storing facilities. Since I'm an experienced traveler it was OK for me.  
The restaurant manager didn't keep his promise. He didn't let us have breakfast a couple minutes before breakfast. We asked him day before and he said yes. That was really nasty because we almost missed our bus. The rest of the staff was nice and helpful.
Quite  good and "always the same" breakfast. It's overcrowded mostly with visitors from Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovenia and some from Germany. Some of them are really loud. The WIFI signal is weak.
I’d go there once again because the price is really good and again there’s nothing much really to complain about. 2 full stars and I mean it. Only If you’re going to stay most of the time at the hotel I wouldn’t recommended the hotel. Otherwise it’s a good choice

Cheap

Try something else, somewhere else! Omisalj itself isn't a worth visiting location in Croatia. Adriatic Hotel is a very poor choice, yet a good one (I assume, since it was overcrowded) in the town. The hotel is situated very close to the sea and has rooms with sea view but is very old (builded in the '70 and probably never modernized after that). The rooms are not clean and are very bad smelling (never experienced that before- we've been a large group and all the rooms were very bad smelling) perhaps due to the very old furniture and carpets. The hotel doesn't have an elevator so consider climbing those many circular stairs (the hotel has 3 floors) with the heavy luggage. Everything in this hotel is extremely old stuff and I believe the management doesn't care about it. The food on the other hand is very tasty and offers variety at dinner (not the case with breakfast - when you can only have the boringly same food); notice that the drinks are not included in the meals (you have to pay extra  - a lot - for them) and that the meals are very poor in fresh fruits. Over all I will not return nor to Adriatic Hotel nor to Omisalj which is a very boring place. Istria on the other hand worths the visit! 

Find something else

We booked one night at Adriatic hotel because of its location: 10 minutes' drive from 
the airport.
Pros: Great French window overlooking the sea, the parking area, the beach and the restaurants are close to the hotel. Good sized room and the receptionist was very attentive.  The rate very fair, not expensive. 
Cons: not updated hotel at all. No elevator, only round staircase. The pillow smelled of smoke, a strange smell in the corridor. In the evening, there was a party downstairs and it was very noisy. A few guests complained and after half an hour, the noise stopped.
Breakfast:  Not bad but a long line even early in the morning.

Adriatic Hotel – Consider it carefully!

On the positive side the hotel is very cheap and close to the beach with a good (but "always the same") breakfast (with various options to choosr from) - and it's clean. The hotel staff is nice and helpful.

On the negative side, no air conditioning, no elevator (!) and it's enormously overcrowded - during breakfast and dinner you have to "fight" for the food and table amongst hundreds of other guests. The lack of "do not disturb" sign. 
There is a loud party noise on fridays. The WIFI is not working at all.

I suggest to go here if money is the most important factor for you, and you won't be annoyed in smaller inconveniences.

Very very simple but cheap overcrowded hotel

Stayed here ( in Marina ) for a week in the rainy summer of 2014. The rooms are kept clean, the towelscare changed every day, but the building and the furniture are much too old. The dinning room was overcrowded during the dinner time, but if you don ´t  mind having breakfast at 8 a.m you can enjoy your meal in quiet environment, overlooking the sea. I didn´t mind the oil terminal just opposite the hotel, it was also interesting for the kids. Next to the hotel there are two beaches, not crowded, which was a big plus, with  pizzeria Ruža ( great service and  food). If the weather had been better, I think, It would have been a more pleasant experience. But, I have to say, that Omišalj  is a nice little town, I really like it.
