We were 10 South Africans visiting this Villa Gverovic during September 2019. Outside the hustle and bustle, just 10 minutes drive to Dubrovnik Old Town. Owner host was punctual, friendly and accommodating.  Very spacious rooms, clean and communal kitchen and patio area worked well for us as a group.
Direct access to the water allowed us to have frequent swims in the sea. Magnificent sunsets and sea views with a glass of wine must be experienced. A 15 minute walk to the local shops. Kayaking, swimming and fishing for the energetic ones. Great location to come and relax after a buzzling Dubrovnik tour. We made special memories staying here. Great value for money. We will recommend this Villa to any person who wants to visit Dubrovnik.

Hidden Pearl of Adriatic!

We have had such a fantastic holiday at Villa Gverovic. The family that runs the house are lovely and very helpful. The place is absolutely fantastic with amazing views and the see literally on your doorstep. 
Dubrovnik old city is 15 minutes car ride and there are a few very good restaurants 10 minutes car ride. 
The garden is brilliant for an evening meal and there is BBQ too. 
If we come back to Dubrovnik, we will definitely stay at Villa Gverovic again.

Lovely place, highly recommend!! 

Incredibly beautiful location right by the sea. Generous terrace with great sea views. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the couchers and private access to the sea. There is no breakfast, but there is a community kitchen available. Refrigerators, dishes, etc. Everything is available. The furnishings of our room were not very modern but everything is very clean and well maintained. Cash payment is required. Very nice and helpful owner. Speaks good English.

A little jewel

We stayed at this place for only one night, and it was not bad. The beautiful, comfortable, spacious apartments were very warm, the air conditioning in the kitchen was not even reaching the bedroom, and there was a window in the room that even if left open, it brought no benefit except the unbearable noise of the street. The sheets were a mixture of synthetic and elastic that warmed even more, but it was a hell of a night.

Beautiful location.

The villa is a bit hard to find at first, there's a steep downhill just before the restaurant which is its entrance. The room we stayed in was a bit dated, creaking laminate floors with some gaps. The air-con worked well but the windows don't completely close so at night if your light is on, some insects do fly in and crawl around the ceiling. We had 4 of 5 possible bulbs installed, of which only 2 were working. We were given a bed sheet instead of a duvet which is hard to adjust to! The beds were not comfortable and creaked when you move. The shower was not too good and water will spill over outside of the shower area. The internet was slow and sometimes cuts out completely, and the signal is quite weak as it's located through several walls from most areas of the villa. General room service and cleaning is good though. The family that owns and takes care of the villa is lovely.

The location of the villa is perfect for visiting Dubrovnik if you've rented a car. A 10 minute drive into Dubrovnik's newer areas, park up and 15 minutes walk into old town. We highly recommend driving to the local towns like Cavtat as well as neighbouring countries like Mostar in Bosnia and Kotor in Montenegro. If you drive up to Mostar, don't take the 6232 road North of Slano. It's a narrow mountainous road which leads to a deserted border on the top of the mountain. We waited a couple of minutes and just as we were about to turn back, a border police officer appeared. After we cleared through, the narrow roads on the Bosnian side definitely required a bit of bravery and careful attention!

The sea view is stunning and the communal balcony/lounge area is a great place to relax. There's a stretch of private stone beach for the visitors at the villa. You get your own fridge in the communal kitchen but share utensils etc. which isn't too great if everyone else doesn't wash everything properly. All things considered, if you're planning to spend a lot of time at the villa and you like luxuries, perhaps not the best choice. But if you're planning on touring the area and not being at the villa too much, it's a good value for money stay and worth going for.

Good value for money and good location to tour from

This hotel is lovely, ran by a whole family each room has its own clean modern bathroom just opposite your own room. This does not offer breakfast, however there is a local bus that take you into Dubrovnik every hour or so. The view outside of our window was phenomenal and the place was so quiet at night.

Booking.com it states that the hotel in 0.2 kilometres, or something like that, to the centre of town. From this we thought Dubrovnik however it is referring to the town of Zaton, 6 kilometres from Dubrovnik. So it is perfect for a quiet relaxing trip to see Croatia however if you are searching for a city break in Dubrovnik then I would recommend a different hotel.

Lovely hotel, quiet, good view.

We had a really lovely time in here, the view is perfect and the water amazing, our balcony couldn't be more perfect, we decided to stay and have breakfast in here and some lunches too... the restaurant that is close is amazing, i went there many times swiming and came back too. Incredible place to stay, if i come again i will definitly stay in here.

Amazing!

We stayed in the apartment with 2 bedrooms and we had the most wonderful view from the terrasse. The owner was very kind. A minus was noise from the road. But quiet compared to Dubrovnic not far away.

Perfect view!

Beside main road,but with a private jetty plus loungers from which to go swimming. Despite being close to the road, we were not disturbed by the traffic. Very friendly & helpful owner. We had a sea facing double room with large patio with loungers. It was clean & comfortable with a large shared kitchen with 4 fridges. Close to 2 mini markets & an excellent restaurant called Ankora.
Very attractive views. Car recommended car parking on site & easy to find. About 4 kms from Dubrovnik.

Excellent position right by the sea

It's like a seventeenth-century villa with a small church used for rentals, strategic location, exceptional views, private space, car park, efficient cleaning of rooms (remember to ask for the room with the bathroom in the room, or risk sharing the bathroom with strangers) in short, very feasible..ah I forgot it's very cheap 25 euros/night.
