When you enter the apartment it feels like you're going back in time a few decades. However, it is very clean and well maintained. Balcony has a great view over the bay, overlooking Podstrana and all the way to Split. The host is very friendly. They shared home grown fruit. Very nice. The pool is covered with a ceiling and slide doors, making it a bit warm in Summer. But the beach is a 5 minute walk. Supermarket is just a few minutes walk and bakery is even closer.

Nice, very clean apartment in 60's style with awesome view from balcony

We have just spent a wonderful week at these apartments near Split. We stayed in the 2- bedroomed apartment and it was amazingly clean and spacious. There are lovely gardens to relax in and a swimming pool (also very clean!).The best aspect of our stay was the welcome and friendliness of Marin and his family who live on the ground floor. The fridge was stocked with home made produce and we were invited to a fantastic meal with the family during our stay. We also visited some of the islands on Marin's brother's speedboat and he took us up into the mountains to see some wonderful views. Podstrana is near to Split and is easy to get to by bus. There is also a beach nearby and a hotel complex called the Meridien which charges 150kuna (about £15) for a sunbed and use of facilities. We didn't think it was worth it so we just walked and found ourselves a shady spot on the beach. There's a lovely bakery and supermarket near to the apartments, but the highlight for us was the welcome we received from this lovely family. Croatia is beautiful and we would love to explore some more.

Wonderful hospitality in Croatia

Late change to our bookings resulted in us finding this gem,on the bus route to Split,spacious rooms and bathroom,hosts brilliant in his commication via mail and sms.We even got wine and beer as a welcome gift and my wife were given a postcard and lavendr when we left,good secure parking on the premises wher ther is also a small pool.The beach is just a short walk away and an excellent restourant on the doorstep which allowed us to take our own wine( becasue they did not stock merlot.Greats stay!!!

Surprise in Podstrana

We stayed here for 10 nights,in the top floor 1 bedroom apartment with a huge terrace with great views of the Adriatic.We were met by Marin ,the families youngest son who spoke great English, more on our hosts later.
The Apartment was spotless,large bedroom with 1 double and 1 single bed,living area with 4 seater settee/sofa bed,Satelite TV,HiFi.Table/Chairs,fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.There is a massive terrace with great views( see photos of accommodation on Bookings.com,they are a true and accurate reflection of the apartment).The whole place had a feel of family home as opposed to a holiday let which was lovely and charming.
The outside has a large garden with many fruit trees and vegetable patch, there is a swimming pool as well to cool off in.
Our Hosts were great , the fridge was stocked with water,fruit juice,Cola and Beer which was very thoughtful.After a few days we were presented with a massive bowl of cherries from the tree in the garden and a bottle of homemade wine ,made in the cellar.

Their hospitality extended further when we were invited to share a traditional meal with the family and the other guests staying in the first floor apartment.It was a great night and a fantastic memory of our stay.

In the immediate vicinity there are supermakets and a bakers(next door) for all you supplies.There are options to eat out a night  within 1 or 20 minutes walk to meet all requirements.Another good option for a nights out is the use of the Number 60 Bus , Southbound to Omis ( we went 3 times),plenty of bars/restaurants in a lovely old town(20 to 30 mins ,17Kuna eachway.Northbound into Split,20 mins and 13 Kuna eachway.Bus runs on the hour and 30 mins past through till around 23.00h

The location is a great base to explore the area or if you want a lazy day there are plenty of pebble beaches 5 mins south of the Meridien complex along the coastal path

We would definately stay here again and if you are settling for the Podstrana area i would recommend this premises
