We stayed for 1 night to enjoy the Lakes. We liked the restaurant, hotel and our room. The room was clean, spacious, the bathroom was light, also very spacious. Very good for several nights to see the Lakes - takes 15-20 min by car to reach the Lakes.

I spent one night with my family and we really liked the place. Staff was polite and helpful, we booked the dinner for 10 euros each as we made the reservation and it was good and big portions. The room was beautiful, two separate rooms and one big bathroom.
Easy free parking right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was included: bread, choice of jam, ham, cheese, eggs; coffee or tea. Not sure if they can make a sweet breakfast instead of this, it's worth asking.

Very nice

I stayed at this hotel for one night because Degenija was full. It is a small relatively cheap hotel by the road to Plitvice. interior is minimalistic (not in the good way) but decent. Rooms are basic but clean, bed is small and bathroom saw better days I'm sure. But it has AC, small TV and plenty of power sockets. Restaurant has no character and food is averadge. I suppose it can be compared with one night stand. Suitable for spending a night on the road, but nothing more. Breakfast was plentiful, standard quality for that kind of motel like service.

Never in all m travels have I encountered a place as poorly run as this. Maria the owner/manager of the hotel is the rudest person I have ever come across. I am in the middle of a fairly lengthy trip through Europe and have met some truly amazing people; Maria is not one of them. As often happens, things often come up while traveling. We contacted Maria as soon as we knew to amend our reservation. From the very beginning she was extremely rude on the phone and made it very clear we were bothering her every time we called. We were trying to be courteous and keep her abreast of the situation with our reservation, but she very unaccommodating. When we finally did arrive to her hotel a little before midnight after a long day of travel she greeted us with "finally you're here."  The hotel itself is nothing great and the customer service is terrible!
