This two bedroom apartment with a pool was in the perfect location to explore the national Park from. The added bonus was the home cooked BBQ dinner that made for a fantastic way to spend the evening enjoying the vista.

Great location and dinner

We stumbled upon this little gem while we looked for a place with a pool.  Our original booking, only about 1 km down the road, was not to our liking and we decided to go for a little drive.  Mira welcomed us with open arms even though we didn't have a reservation.  Thankfully she had a last minute cancellation.  The grounds and garden are beautifully decorated with flowers, loungers around the pool, a gazebo for each room to enjoy the outdoor space (that was where we had breakfast and dinner too).  She doesn't always offer the dinner options, but check with her since it was one of the best dinners we had while in Croatia.  The rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you might need.  We slept really well.  The beds are comfy and the bathroom spacious and clean.

Then there is the pool.  The main reason we stopped there.  It was amazing.  We lounged around the pool until well after sunset, sipping on our wine and enjoying the cool evening air.  This place is only 10 minutes away from Plitvice lakes and just off the main road - follow the signs for House Tina (it is close by).  I can't say enough good things about this place.  I will for sure stay there again.

Summer oasis

We stayed one night two adults and two kids, the apartment was very good, we used the pool in the evening and we we at plitvice lakes in 15 minutes, in the morning so you are there before it gets to busy. The apartment was very good value for money.

Friendly good value

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. It made a perfect base go and visit Plitvice lakes, the near by caves, and the watermill town too.Top tip - if you are visitng the lakes, get a 2 day ticket and go really really really early before all the tour groups get there. You need a ticket to get in but there is free parking if you follow signs to Ethno Village Plitvice, cross a small bridge, and then park just after a rangers hut. This is on the north side of the river and you can easily walk to the Big Waterfall and the lower lakes.

The apartment was a great size - large comfortable bed, huge sofa for lounging, a small but servicable kitchen, giant bath, and a lovely garden with a pool and seating areas/sun loungers.

The hostess was lovely - friendly and approachable but unobtrusive. 

Be warned that you'll be expected to pay in cash, but if you have not got enough, then popping just down the road to a local hotel with a cash machine will do the trick!

Caffe Bar Plum got our thumbs up for local food (I'll write a review for there but just in case you've not got time to look for places to eat!), Resturant Vrela gets the thumbs down.

Very comfortable apartments, good value, good location

The apartments may be inconvenient and hard to reach if you are travelling to Plitvice Lakes by bus and not a car. Furthermore, we came during summer time and there was no air conditioning/fan and we found several ants/insects in the room. Unfortunately, the Wifi is also very poor. We stayed in two other places in Split and in Dubrovnik at around the same cost and sadly, this was our least favourite stay.
