I really enjoyed my time at Quasimodo Hostel. The location is very good, not far from center but very quiet. The rooms were clean and I didn't had any availability problems with the shared showers and toilets, although I was there on a full season, during a festival. The kitchen is very practical if you want to cook or you can buy coffee and drinks in very good prices. The terrace is ideal to relax. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful for whatever you need. Good work! 

A perfect stay

My experience at Quasimodo was good, not great. Location isn't bad at all, very close to the palace - and of course bonus points for the cherry brandy welcome shot upon arrival. The terrace gave us an excellent view of the stars from right in the city center, and it's a nice place to dry your laundry (they have a washer but all drying is done out there).

The room we stayed in was cramped, with two extra cots shoehorned in, and the A/C didn't really cool the room down. Also points off for there only being two showers for the entire hostel - one shower was occupied for 45 minutes and it delayed everyone else who wanted to grab a quick shower before going out. In general, the bathrooms and showers could have been a bit cleaner, and one toilet stall didn't lock. In addition, I had major issues connecting to the internet and they wouldn't let me use the staff connection, so I had to leach 2 bars off a public wi-fi nearby if I was standing in one spot in the lounge. The staff were very helpful and friendly aside from the one wi-fi flap.

If you have accessibility issues don't stay here - it's up several large flights of stairs in an office building with no elevator.

Basically you could probably do better in Split, but honestly you could do a whole lot worse too. If you need a night or two at a cheap price, aren't too picky, and are okay with a lot of stairs this hostel should be fine for you.

Great experience and great staff. Stayed for 1 week in July 2016 (wouldn’t let me choose 2016) 4 of us in a room, clean and tidy and good facilities. Secure rooms and secure lockers. Drinks on arrival and free to use the kitchen space to cook food and store drink. For young travellers it’s a great spot and especially those visiting for Ultra like the group I was with. Not much to fault if anything. closed the roof off at night time which was good as it meant you could get a decent sleep. 

Good, clean and friendly. 

Pros: Central location. Great air con. Lovely terrace with chairs to sit out on/dry laundry with nice views over split. Bakery at front door with instant coffee machine. 

Cons: Rooms were quite tight with little floor space and we had to unplug lights to have chargers for phones/cameras. Only a few toilets/showers for all occupants. Some lockers didn't have keys. 


Nothing special but all that's needed! 

If you want a nice nights sleep then you should definitely check this place out! It's not your stereotypical hostel. It's clean and very quiet. I have a few dislikes though. It's not very sociable with other backpackers. Plus there is one shower between 30 people which I'm not very happy with. #Smelly. The b

The hostel

Stayed in the double room wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised, aircon in room and fairly big. Shared bathrooms are good and clean. Common area has tv with sports on it and also 2 computers with internet FREE to use! (Can't say that about many hostels) would stay again
