To be fair, the rooms and location are really good.  However, unless you are a clubber and getting back very late, you will not get any sleep until after 3am.  There is a nightclub underneath the rooms, you cannot hear this from the road but it sounds like you are in the DJ booth in the rooms.  The soundproofing definitely does not work.  Customer service is zero too.  This is a shame as the rooms are really great and easy access to the old town in minutes. 
Would not recommend or stay again. 

Only stay if you are out post 3am, it's really noisy. 

0 out of 5 stars! The worst nightmare. Booked for 4 nights and left after a half night of sleeping, which was only possible after the super loud disco finally stopped music at 03:00! No service at all! Booked another hotel. I hope this could warn everyone, DO NOT BOOK THESE ROOMS

DO NOT BOOK, LOST OF MONEY

Terrible service. There’s no staff on hand to help, check-in is confusing. I had to wait over an hour for someone to open my door for me after it got jammed and I was stuck outside. Would not recommend at all

Terrible service

Things seem to have changed since the last reviews 5 years ago. Firstly there is no service for check-in at all, I’ve never had this in a hotel before. You are supposed to check-in and pay online and then they send you all the codes. I missed this message from them so when I arrived, couldn’t get in. I called the number given twice and no answer and then they did call me back and also WhatsApp’d the check-in information to me (the person WhatsApp’ing was helpful). It’s a bit of a faff, you have to take a photo of your passport and then a selfie of yourself with your head in the right position etc. Not ideal waiting outside to get in at night. 

The hotel and room itself was nice though, pretty decor clean and comfortable. I would say great location distance from the old town wise however, no sleep until the club downstairs closed at 2am (Wednesday night). I don’t consider myself a light sleeper either and it was very loud. Perhaps other rooms not at the front don’t have this problem so not making these rooms bookable may be an option.

Finally I noticed that if you accidentally leave your key in the room, you get charged 38euro which is ridiculous. Absolute lazy, barely existent hotel service. This is what I expect in airbnbs not hotels.

no sleep, barely any service

A nice boutique hotel with few rooms. Very spacious, clean, good ac. The only problem is the checkout is too early (10). Very near the old city. There is a noisy bar downstairs but it closes at 11:00. 

Great location and large rooms

Villa Olea is a small accommodation with only a few rooms. The rooms are clean and comfortable with air conditioning. I didn't have much of a view - an alley. And there was no mini fridge, although there was a lot of space for one under the unnecessarily large desk. Adequate Wifi. No breakfast included and no 24-hour staff. They are only at the front desk when someone is checking in, but this wasn't much of an issue, since they reached out to me vi email to ask me when I would be arriving. They were waiting for me when I arrived and gave me the two keys necessary to open up the three doors to get in. Would stay here again if they put in a mini-fridge to keep our drinks and snacks cool. If that isn't an issue for you, then this is a good option.

Just outside of city walls

Just steps outside the walls of the palace, this small hotel is really a great value for your money.

My small single room was reasonably spacious. The hotel is in an older building but it has been nicely renovated and the rooms are modern and comfortable. 

My little single bed was awesome!  Better than my mattress at home. There is a nice, long table along one wall to set up your electronics and other personal items. WiFi worked well, and I was able to stream videos on my iPad. There is a cable tv also. 

The shower was decently sized for European standards, and the water strong.  Very nice.

Finally, the staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage there because I had a later flight.

Definitely recommended.

Comfortable, clean and perfectly located

Very good location just outside the old town and very close to all the sights restaurants cafes and  shops. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. My room was very quiet two good nights sleep!The staff are very efficient and helpful. No staff at reception at night but not a problem.

Good location

Stayed here for two nights as part of a longer holiday in Croatia. The accommodation is easy to find and is very close to all of the main sights and restaurants.  Check in was easy and the staff friendly. The reception was only manned during the day but this wasn't a problem.

We had a suite which was a good size but was very tired looking - the bathroom has seen better days and there were marks on the sofa.  It wouldn't have taken much to make the room much nicer.  

The room had tea and coffee making facilities but no tea or coffee which we thought unusual.

We also found the room to be noisy as we could hear furniture rearrangement from the floor above - this isn't just us being fussy - the noise was quite constant throughout our stay including late at night and early morning.
