The Bol Residence is a 10-15 minute walk from Bol town centre and a 40-45 minute walk to the Golden Horn beach. The Bol Residence is located on a hill which is quite steep, therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties or health issues. 
The room I had was dated but clean and of adequate size. The towels weren't soft and the mattress wasn't very comfortable.
Unfortunately the host only accepts cash, this meant that I had to get cash out in town (exchange rates varied between different bank ATMs), the best rate added an extra £21 to our stay, which was only 3 nights. 

Good location for Bol Town centre 

We stayed here for 3 nights when first arriving in Croatia. The owner welcomed us and showed us to our room, advised where the shared kitchen was etc. He also provided a map of the area and told us where the nearest supermarket was as breakfast, water, coffee etc wasn’t included. 

The room was very basic and dated, the bathroom was not air conditioned and was very hot. The balcony was nice and it was great to have somewhere to dry towels etc as they are not changed each day. 

The shower was temperamental but ok. The towels were very thin and scratchy; definitely in need of replacement. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable and only one pillow each was provided. We didn’t get a good nights sleep whilst we were there. This was exasperated by the lack of sound insulation as you could could hear everything in the corridor and adjoining rooms. We got woken up numerous times. 

The location is good for getting into town and to the nearest beach. The property is on a steep hill though so it was hard going in the heat, especially with suitcases. Of an evening when it was cooler this was a great location though as you could walk in to town and back for dinner and drinks.

Going from the accommodation (doing downhill) Zlatni Rat beach (golden horn) was about 45 minutes walk. The town was about 10, the port 15-20. 

Our main issue was that we were not aware until we checked in that payment was only accepted in cash. I had made the reservation using a credit card through booking.com and there was no mention of the property not accepting payment by credit card on arrival. As a result we had to draw money out from a cash machine as we didn’t have enough with us. The ATM’s provide a very poor exchange rate and the stay cost us £21 more than it should have, which understandably we weren’t very happy about. The owner did let us pay the day before departure due to this, as we had a limit to how much cash we could withdraw on the card each day. 

Overall I wouldn’t stay here again as I would prefer to pay by card and stay somewhere where the room was a bit more comfortable.

Clean but very basic

Good location in the town, 10-15 minutes (uphill) walk from the port and 10 to nearest beach. Owner pleasant but businesslike with basic English. Room comfortable but basic, bathroom very warm. Fridge in the hall for use for all rooms. No extras provided. We were able to leave our bags there while we waited for our ferry and had use of a toilet. 

Good location

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. We arrived just after lunch and was able to check in early which was very useful! 

Our room was small but clean and unfortunately didn't have a balcony. However there are plenty of other places to sit outside.

Around a 5 minute walk into the town and about a 15 minute walk to the beaches. 

I would stay again if staying in Bol but would recommended asking for a balcony. 


Good locationn

Very nice rooms, clean and simple, overlooking the Adriatic sea. Friendly helpful couple that own this place. Short walk to Zlatni Rat beach. Very reasonably priced. Shared kitchen where you can cook your own food if you wish, although there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants close by, just next to the sea

Lovely Little Place

The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The apartments are in a great location to reach Zlatni Rat beach (15 minutes) and the main centre of Bol too in just 5 minutes walk. The staff are also friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again.
