Due to a wedding in Bol we were booked into this hotel by the wedding organisation. Upon arrivel we learned that we could not check-in untill 2 pm. This was a problem because we needed to attent the wedding at that time. The owner was very helpfull and immediately provided us ( 4 people, 2 couples) a room where we could shower and get ready to leave on time while the booked rooms were cleaned. It was a very small room with 2 separte beds, a little window and a bathroom were you needed to hold the showerhead in your hand because there was nowhere to mount it on the wall and the drain was was completely clogged. But nevertheless it did the trick. The remark from the owner: "him being from a communistic country where the man is always right and the women just have to listen to the men" was long forgotten because of the helpfull way we were treated. Little did we know, he wasn't joking... 
Before we left, the owner asked for our passports. After a few hours we had a break in the wedding program and we went back to the hotel to pick up our passports. The owner was no where to be found and eventually we found him in his backyard. The 2 women of our group asked the passports back but the owner refused to give them. He needed to registrate us and we could get them back in the morning. We asked how long the registration would take and were given the answer that it would take as long as he needed and that we should go and stop asking about it. We hesitated for a while to make a really big scene out of the fact that our passport is our possession and that he was abusing his power, but we had to sleep somewhere so we accepted it. After the wedding we went into the appartment which smelled a bit funny but we thought it was a cleening product. The next morning we woke up to the same smell, but quite a bit stronger smelling like an open sewer. The curtains were mosquito nets and the bathroom was as bad as the first one. The owner came up complaining about payments (while the wedding organisation had payed everyting prior to the booking) and after asking again, we finally reiceived our passports back. 
To sum it all up, the owner is a terrible communistic guy who can not communicate normally with women. The room smelled horrible and the bathrooms and other services were just as bad. We stayed here because of the wedding but the walk down to Bol town is extremely steep and quite far. The hotel is located on the very outside of the town. So for an actual tourist for the city and the beach it is to far away. We would never ever go back here and would absolutely not advice this to anyone else. 

Horrible experience

Whilst the room was a good size no soap or washing up liquid was provided. TV was small and very old (20 years!!) Owner did the bare minimum -   

House is high above the time and the last building line. Very steep walk back from the town and far (30 minutes walk)  from Zlatna Rat - the famous sandy beach

We booked a two night accomodation here and upon arrival to Bol by boat headed directly to the tourist office located nearby to recieve directions on how to get there as it was a last minute booking and we had not printed out the map from booking.
The place is located up the hill on the very last road, it took us about 10 minutes to get there climbing steep stairs and panting as we had our backback on the shoulders....but ahhh! the view totally made up for this. 
We could not find any name on the gate, but a neighbour told us where it was and he said the host lived downstairs and opened us the main door (this door is never locked).
The wife's host came to greet us with a baby on her arms, this was clearly a family run business, she spoke little english but was very friendly and showed us the apartment. 
We booked a 2 bedroom apt. and it was very clean, very spacious and looked actually better than in the fotos. Also there was  huge terrace overlooking the sea and the city, with a large table for 4 where we did enjoy a faboulous dinner. Mind you....not all balconies get the sun, we saw that most balconies stayed in the shade all day, but maybe then that is what you are looking for. There was warm water all day with excellent pressure, the kitchen was a bit understocked as we didn't find a tablecloth and there were little utilities. Also the wifi wasn't working, we tried all time and finally asked the host and he said there had been problems with the internet in the neighbourhood and that it was the fault of the company (Telecom or the sort of), he told us to go down the stairs as on the 1º level closer to his home we would surely be able to log on.  I can understand that he was not to blame, although it does not make sense that they have internet on the groundfloor but not on the topfloor as we had a router there. In any case they should at least have explained when we booked or checked in. If you book here make sure to send them a message before to check if the problem has been fixed. Also the host was eager to help with everything but he seemed to be a bit gross and intruding, if you are an independent traveller you might not like that very much. We asked for the cost of breakfast and figured out it was much better value in town.
Alltogether this is a 4 star review, as the place was nice and we really liked it.

Clean, safe, confortable...if you are good climber

Zeljko was by far the friendliest host I've ever met. 4 of us stayed in one of his apartments and the banter started from the moment we arrived. He was very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the prices were good. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Just don't put your old, dirty trainers amongst the load in the laundry services or he might tell you they belong in the museum! Haha
