We stayed at Villa Gorica for a week and it was stunning. Firstly the villa, its set in lovely grounds and is secluded for privacy. The villa has everything you would need, secluded pool, barbecue, many fridges for drinks as well as kettle, coffee, machine, sandwich maker and more. The rooms were all very spacious with aircon and en-suite.

As for location its only a short walk to shops and beach at Srebeno but only short taxi ride to Cavtat and Dubrovnic. 

The other thing that makes Villa Gorica so special is the host. Nikolina was always on hand both before we came out and during our stay to answer any questions. She arranged airport pickups, taxis during our stay as well as recommending the best restaurants to eat at. Nothing was too much trouble and she even took us for a quick tour in her car when we arrived to show us around.

Stunning villa with amazing host

A truly amazing and beautiful Villa!! We stayed as part of a friends wedding and could not fault anything! The Villa and grounds are stunning and so well maintained. Nothing was to much trouble and it made the wedding the most amazing celebration. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting luxury, privacy and a great trip to Croatia.

What a STUNNING Villa!!

We stayed a week at this wonderful picturesque Villa and were lucky enough to have our wedding here too.  It was perfect in every way; the villa was clean and comfortable, the grounds were superbly kept, the location was excellent and the team did everything we could have asked to make our stay effortless from filling the kitchen with groceries to pampering us and our guests with massages.
Truly magical and perfect in every way - we will 1000% be back.

The Best the riviera has to offer

I booked the villa for my birthday - paid over £500 deposit.  I was assured it would be refunded if there was covid issues.  When the government stopped travel abroad for all but emergency travel I contacted Nikolina and tried to cancel.  She refused to refund my money but gave me a date in September when all the kids in my party needed to be in school and it was impossible.  Total abuse of trust.

Do not trust the host

Villa Gorica (please note - it’s a privately owned villa, not a hotel!) is a truly outstanding place to spend your holiday near historic Dubrovnik. Built in the 16th century, on an extensive walled plot,  it’s been tastefully modernised, without losing its original character. All five bedrooms have their own well appointed bathrooms, and the communal areas are spacious and comfortably furnished. The front courtyard has mature shrubs and trees, and two barbeques with a large dining table under cover for outdoor meals. We made great use of the swimming pool, with its sunbathing deck and cabana. The immaculately maintained gardens, pétanque court and badminton court with basketball hoop are further bonuses.

Every member of our party for our 7 night stay was impressed with the villa - but what really made it special was the outstanding customer service provided by Nikolina, the villa owner, who lives in a separate house in the grounds. She was very friendly and welcoming, answered our various queries quickly and efficiently, and was of great assistance in helping to book several activities. She kindly drove us to local landmarks so that we could get our bearings at the start of our holiday, which was particularly helpful. Nikolina was rightfully very proud of the villa, and it was clear from the outset that she wanted her guests to enjoy the very best holiday experience.  That she was able to do so - apparently effortlessly, and  without ever being intrusive - is a real tribute to her skills in her role. 

In summary, Villa Gorica offers a classy, private holiday base, within easy reach of Dubrovnik, the nearby beach area and local supermarkets. We would have no hesitation in recommending the villa, and certainly hope to return in future - it really is that special.

An exceptional holiday villa

We spent four days and nights in this beautiful villa with four other couples and could not say enough to do justice to this beautiful villa and our gracious hostess and owner Nikolina. She gave us an orientation of our surrounding area to show us where we could shop and go swimming, organized a guide for our visit to historic Dubrovnik, a charter boat for a tour of nearby islands, taxis to get us there and back and a visit to a nearby farm where we ate a traditionally prepared meal. I would highly recommend this  this villa to anyone wishing to visit Dubrovnik and its surroundings.

Beautiful villa and perfect hostess

Villa Gorica was the most wonderful place to stay during our Croatian holiday. It resides ( as its name suggests ) on the top of a hill with views all around. A wonderful, relaxing place to stay with great facilities ( pool, petanque court, badminton court, beautiful courtyard etc ).  If you want to explore the area it is a short walk to the waterfront where you can get a water taxi to Dubrovnik or one of the nearby bays. Not the cheapest of accommodation but works out very reasonable when shared between 3 or 4 couples. Why not spoil yourself. ! 

Perfect Villa Stay

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Villa Gorica. The 'we' consisted of our family - 6 of us from the UK and 4 from Australia, with an age range from 3 to 69. We had high expectations after reading all the 5* reviews and we were not disappointed. The villa creates an air of luxury, space, comfort, history and more, while feeling welcoming and homely. Everyone could have their own space and then gather together by the pool, around the table by the barbeque, on the boule area, etc. As everyone has already mentioned, the owner, Nikolina is definitely 5* and helped to make our stay so special. From her answers to our questions before we arrived, her friendly greeting complimented by the drinks and huge bowl of fruit on our arrival, clean towels mid - week and her help with arrangements to enhance our visit. 
A week was not long enough to do all we wanted to do, but we would certainly recommend the boat trip and the meal cooked at the villa by Nikolas, the chef - all arranged by Nikolina. The food was sublime. Our thanks also go to Nikolina's friend, the lady taxi driver who was so helpful and friendly. We had hired 2 cars, but really could have managed with taxis and buses, as parking is virtually impossible. 
Be prepared for the ruined buildings behind the nearest beach (a reminder of Croatia troubled past), but the adjacent beaches and cafes and restaurants are lovely. We found the Croatian people very welcoming and friendly and the scenery is stunning.

Wonderful villa and hodt

We spent two weeks in this wonderful villa celebrating our birthdays with 6 adults, 4 teenagers and one toddler. Nikolina, who lives next door and is the owner,could not have been more helpful and as my husband and I did not hire a car we used Kruna as our taxi driver who took us everywhere- parking in Dubrovnik is expensive so a bonus to be dropped off and collected. We had two lovely boat trips and the kayaking and off road buggies were a great success. A local meal in the hills was fun and well worth doing. The villa is full of history and we felt very privileged to be able to stay there. I would highly recommend a visit. Penny

Wonderful family holday

This is a very special place, I most definitely recommend!  Beautiful villa in a scenic setting, and just a short drive to the Old City.  Nikolina, the property owner/hostess, will help to arrange dinner reservations and tours if you like.
