If you're thinking of a trip to Croatia, and staying in the Mlini area, the Tonkovic apartments are perfect. The host Pavo is very welcoming, full of great advice on local sights, tips etc. He even took us to the nearest supermarket to stock up on essentials! The studio we had was very comfortable with a great view down over the bay and out to sea. All necessary facilities were there including a powerful shower, microwave, fridge, kettle, hotplate and the usual utensils. Plus of course parking if you have a hire car, and the usual WiFi. You can be self sufficient and cater if you want but it's also good to eat out. We used the studio as a base and visited Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Cavtat and other places along the way. The view from the studio terrace as the sun sets is spectacular.  We will return again. Thank you Pavo. 

Perfect location, perfect host. 

Just arrived back from Tonkovic Apartments, where Pavo the host was truly amazing, he couldn't have done more and his family were lovely too.

The apartment was perfect, the place Mlini was perfect and would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

On arrival, he kindly collected us himself by car and provided a beer, he then went the extra mile and drove us to the supermarket for provisions.

He also provided us with extensive knowledge of the area, with recommendations of where to go and where to eat.

All in all a truly great holiday, apartment and host (including his family)

Amazing 

Had an amazing experience staying here for 10 days, it’s a lovely area. Not far from Dubrovnik, but much quieter and less expensive than staying in the city centre. The apartment itself was well furnished and spacious with amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine and a washing line. The front balcony had an excellent view of the surrounding area and was a lovely spot to sunbathe, whilst the back patio gave a bit of shade. There is a short walk down to the main road as the apartment is on a hill, however our host Pavo picked us up on both our arrival and departure days to help with this when we had our suitcases. Pavo himself is superb, so much knowledge about the local area and nothing was ever too much hassle. Couldn’t recommend him and his apartments enough when wanting to visit Dubrovnik.

Fantastic place and lovely host

This is an amazing place to stay. Paulo and his family ate the best ever. Such kind people, Paulo took us to the supermarket. Please, if he takes you, don't take too long as Paulo does this out of the kindness of his heart. His family are adorable, please respect that it is his family home. The views are amazing, get a sea view and you will not be disappointed. This place is one of the best places I have stayed and we will be back Paulo 😉 If you don't like steps they are 500 but worth it! Thank you so much! I loved dancing with your father everynight such a lovely man.

AMAZING BEST VEIW EVER! & Pavo is the best!!!

Could not recommend Pavo and his family enough! He was extremely welcoming from when we first met and he even drove us to the supermarket and back! Amazing and clean apartment too! Loved our stay, thank you so much to Pavo for making our holiday that bit better:)

Amazing!!!

Great views over the bay within the Adriatic Sea. Very helpful and friendly manager. Pavo could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable.  Our apartment had an amazing sea view with beautiful sunsets.  We are keen walkers so the hilly setting of the apartment was an advantage and not a problem. Great local bus and small ferry service to both Dubrovnik and Cavtat.

Wonderful Croatian experience

Had such a wonderful few days in Mlini and couldn’t have asked for better accommodation or a warmer welcome from the lovely owner. He went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and even drove us to the supermarket upon arrival as a matter of course. Super friendly and warm. The views from the balcony of our studio were spectacular. Very large and comfortable bed. Immaculate and clean and everything we needed. Cosy size and was just perfect for us. Lots of steps down into Mlini and back, and we loved the exercise after our dinner! Thanks for everything Pavo. Jacqui & Rachel

Can’t fault this little gem of a find

We absolutely loved our stay at Tonkovic apartments, yes they are basic but lovely and clean and have everything you would need, Like everyone has said before Pavo is a great host and made us feel very welcome. The view from the balcony is glorious with spectacular sunsets! Its just a short walk down to Mlini with a good choice of restaurants. Good bus and boat service to Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Would definately recommend staying at the apartments.

Amazing weeks holiday!

An amazing place to stay.
The views are amazing and probably one of the best to be had for miles around
Rooms basic but have everything.
Pavo is a great host. Taking us to the local supermarket on arrival to stock up on essentials  was a great help.

Outstanding views!

Basic accommodation with pink sheets and hairy blanket. Make sure you are physically fit. Steep hill is an extremely hard climb to your apartment after 428 steps from the beach area. I pride myself on fitness and it was not what you want holiday. Pavo on arrival takes you to the supermarket for a reason. Lovely guy and he could sell snow to Eskimo 🤣🤣🤣💪
