What a wonderful little hotel that is a real treat behind the doors! An extremely welcoming hostess and really pretty rooms.  The small pool area is very welcoming after a hot day. Couldn't fault anything 

Fantastic little oasis 

This was my third visit to Vila/Villa Donna 2015/16/17. Previously I have never returned to the same place twice let alone a third time. I've visited places and thought I would return but never have. Villa Donna is different. Dijana is a welcoming hostess. The apartment we stayed in has everything required and has a lovely balcony/veranda where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast as we did and on an evening a late drink and a chat or played games/quizzes and just laughed and relaxed.
Dijana keeps a lovely villa and is very knowledgeable about attractions and can arrange outings. You just need to chat to her. 
Villa Donna is so close to the main areas of Trogir and is therefore so well placed. Have a great trip out during the day and an evening in the town amongst the vast choice of restaurants and then have a leisurely walk back to Villa Donna.
We can't recommend Villa Donna highly enough. There are four apartments so look on the website. 
Dijana can arrange airport transfers and as Split airport is 15-20 minutes away it's brilliant.

Great apartments; great hostess; short walk from main part of Trogir. What more canyou want?

In June i travelled with my wife and 2 year old daughter to Vila Donna. Now first things first, its either a ten minute taxi ride ( we paid 70kn after some haggling) or a 20 min bus ride into Trogir- it could not be easier

The house is located very close to the old town over the bridge and is relatively easy to find, we use google maps and it took us straight there

The house:
We stayed in Sunshine apartment. An immaculate apartment based on two floors with comfortable beds, sofas and the necessary amenities. The air conditioning was effective and I can say nothing negative about the apartment at all. We were very comfortable there. It is also worth saying that the host was kind enough to provide us with a toddler bed for our stay, which was ideal. 

The gardens are clean, tidy and offer calm and tranquillity in an otherwise busy town. The pool is a good size and there is plenty of adjustable shade and seating near the pool. We had it pretty much to ourselves the whole time

The manager and her assistant:
Dijana was incredibly helpful and kind. Both her and Kristina were fantastic with children and we felt utterly welcomed into their family. Nothing was to much of a bother and they both went out of the way to make us happy. 

The Local Area:
The beaches are about a mile walk away of a pretty fierce hill ( there is a bus but we managed it daily with a pushchair without the bus) 
There is a well stocked supermarket a two minute walk away and a fast food outlet a five minute walk away. The town as i have said is very very close. 

My wife and i have spent four years travelling around Croatia in the summers and must have stayed in nearly 20+ guesthouses during this time which were all given over four stars by trip adviser. This was by far the best. I can recommend it wholeheartedly to parents of young families where you are able to relax in the gardens with the children asleep rather than being stuck in a one bedroom hotel feeling miserable in the evenings!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The pool was too cold when we were there (not heated). We parked the car in front of the house and walked in to town for lunch/dinner/ice cream. This as a pleasant stay. Only down side for me were the  mattresses m that could be updated.  

Nice apartment close to old city center

My family of two adults and two young children stayed at Vila Donna for 11 nights. It was our first visit to the area and we are very pleased we came, what a fabulous place. Vila Donna is a well kept and clean establishment, lovingly run by Dijana and her family. 

Our two bedroom apartment had an undercover balcony where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we mainly ate out as the food is great (fabulous pizzas) and reasonably priced. The kitchen area really is a little tight for cooking in, but why would you cook on holiday anyway. Our kids slept in the twin room that is only big enough for two beds but there is a dressing room to keep all your stuff in. The double room has the most comfy bed, two bedside tables & lamps.

Out the back you will find a garden filled with fruit trees (mandarin, grapefruit, orange and fig) and three tortoises wondering around which are very entertaining for the children. There is a small pool with four sunloungers which our children enjoyed very much. Beach towels are available for your use so you don’t have to bring your own.

Vila Donna’s location is perfect for exploring the area. Only a short walk and over the small but mostly very busy bridge you are in Trogir, an old town that deservedly has won UNESCO world heritage site status, filled with narrow cobbled streets, shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, museums and a water’s edge lined with palm trees and superyachts. Closer to home, you have two supermarkets, two bakeries, bars, a tucked away lovely restaurant Konoba Cicibela who also do take away if you'd rather sit on your balcony and the marina with yet another restaurant. Along the water’s edge you can get a water taxi to Arbanja and its small beach with beach bar or walk a few minutes and there too is a small beach with beach bar. All beaches we went to were shingle beaches so ensure you bring your jelly shoes.

With only a short 10 minute journey from Split airport (assuming you don’t get stuck in the traffic on the bridge), your holiday can start immediately after arriving, when you are offered a cooling drink by Dijana at Vila Donna – you will be well looked after. You have to accept that Trogir and the Northern part of Ciovo Island is the final approach route for Split airport and as such, we saw many an undercarriage of incoming aircraft, both small and large. However, this will not stop us coming again.
