Excellent apartment with the most amazing view of Vela Luka from the balcony.  Well equipped, clean and spacious close to restaurants and shops. Excellent value for money.  The bed was very comfy. Bathroom spacious with large bath and shower. Parking at rear of property and mini mart at the front. We will be back.

Best location in Vela Luka

We stayed in a very nice, large apartment, which was fully furnished. The unit had a washing machine, but it did not dry clothing, as far as we could tell, since laundry machines in Croatia are different from the U.S. There was, however, a laundry drying rack on the patio of our unit.

The apartment was almost perfect. My only negative was that there was air conditioning only in the living room, and the bedrooms remained really warm.  

The accommodations were great, but we were disappointed in the lack of activities in V.L., even though it has a really pretty harbor. It was our fault that we scheduled this part of our trip to be from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon. The main reason for the visit to this town was to see the Vela Spila archeological site. We only found out on Saturday night that we missed the opportunity to see the site, which was from 4:00 to 8:00 in the evening. We didn't know, since we couldn't find visitors info online before this trip. The town museum was closed on Sunday, which would've been something to do.

So, we wandered and relaxed by the water for a few hours before catching the bus to Korcula Town. Other tourists at the bus stop commented on the lack of activity in V.L. and their disappointment. We talked to the Tourism Bureau office and the very kind woman who worked there even said, "Unfortunately, there is not much to see other than Vela Spila here." 

So I will say that V.L. is not an ideal stop in Croatia. I know that it is mentioned in some guidebooks and websites, but there is even more to do in Split, and a lot more on Hvar Island.

Nice, large apartment. Vela Luka itself is not ideal for tourism.

We arrived in Vela Luka and Tina the owner was extremely kind enough to collect us from the ferry port so that we didn't have to carry our bags to the apartment.
When we arrived to the apartment we were very pleasantly surprised, it was large and very clean with everything you needed.
I cannot fault anything about this apartment and we had a very relaxing time spent here.

Fabulous Apartment right on the sea front.

We stayed with another couple in a 2 bedroom apartment in this complex in July 2013 for 3 nights

The owner was lovely and helpful, picking us up from the ferry and giving us guidance regarding our ongoing journey from Vela Luka.

There's loads to do in the area - if you do venture out to the islands (and you should) then make sure you bring some food and water as not all of them have restaurant facilities.

Would definitely recommend this place, but if we had to offer some criticism it is that one of the rooms has no outside window and therefore got very hot at night.
