If you need to stay overnight in Vukovar, you really have no choice but this hotel. It is described as 4* but to me it looks like an average 3*. The room was very basic, the breakfast was below average for 4*, even for 3* hotels. All in all it is ok for one night but do not expect 4* standard.

We were satisfied with room coziness and cleanliness but restaurant area is something else. Napkins are cheap poliesther, paper napkins are nonexistent, the chairs have stains on them, the food is very limited and partially cold. Restauran area needs a good renovation and two proper cooks.

Overpriced cozy rooms with bad food

Došli smo u hotel i, iako je vani u noćnim satima vrlo hladno, vidjeli smo da se prozor ne može zatvoriti. Zvali smo recepciju, recepcionerka nam je kazala da majstor dolazi tek ujutro. Onda je došla i kad je vidjela da je brava na prozoru potrgana, ponudila mi je selotejp da ga zalijepim. Može li biti jadnije? Nije ponudila drugu sobu ni ispriku nego selotejp! Nikad se više neću vratiti u Hotel Lav. 
We came to the hotel and, although it was very cold outside at night, we saw that the window could not be closed. We called the reception, the receptionist told us that the master comes only in the morning. Then she came and when she saw that the lock on the window was torn, she offered me duct tape to stick it on. Could it be poorer? She offered no other room or apology than duct tape! I will never go back to Hotel Lav again.

Katastrofa! Totaly disaster!

We stayed 2 days, hotel definitely don’t deserve 4 stars, 3 maybe. Cleanness of hotel and room is good, staff is nice and helpful.  On arrival we were not provided with any info about dinner, breakfast or anything else.  Selection of food is very limited, but that is not only problem, we were served by almost cold soup and also main course, first night we did not say anything, it can happen to anybody. Second night was almost the same thing with food, soup was hot as it is supposed to bat pasta was totally cold. We called waiter and complained about it, so he collected our plates and bring them back heated (there was three of us my wife, friend and myself, all of us had same meal and I did not get my back I am sure).
On check out form hotel there was also owner present and when my wife said to her about cold food, she was polite but moment she was told about food, she blamed COVID as the reason for it and she escaped.
Finally hotel is not too bad but if you can try to avoid eating dinner or launch at hotel, breakfast is not to bad at least there is some choice.

Average hotel

This 4*  hotel has the perfect location at the shore of the Danube river, just next to the Eltz palace and city centre. Parking is directly at the hotel. If you are in the town for business or leisure, it is a perfect place to stay.

Perfect location

It is a nice hotel, with everything one might need. I only visited with my partner for a day but next time when we are back in Vukovar we will choose it again, especially because of a friendly and professional service we recived from Robert at the reception, he was kind and patient and had a great knowledge of the area. Thank You.

Lovely Hotel

Stayed here for a week for work reasons. Wifi in the hotel is pretty good, room was cleaned every day, towels were changed, staff is nice. Hotel is on an excellent location, right in the centre of Vukovar. Gym was very good, well-equipped. The hotel exterior and interior is obsolete. There was a receptionist who was basically helpful and nice but when I tried to pay for the hotel or something else, it was impossible. Anything to what I said I was replied that she'd ask the boss later. Maybe she did but I didn't get any answer to my questions anytime later. Not to mention that she didn't speak English almost at all. On arrival I wasn't provided with any information on the hotel, breakfast, internet, etc., I had to ask everything.  Breakfast is not proper, especially the coffee that is beyond bad, hardly had any worse in my life. Omlette was cold, choice limited, no vegetables at all. Another minus goes to the room safe service: the safe was out of order in my room (and in the whole hotel as well) during my whole stay, and they didn't put any effort into repairing it. For this room price I'm sure I can get better service somewhere else next time.

Avarage hotel with basic defects

Rooms well presented and modern.  Our room faced the street side rather than the river and with the afternoon sun hitting the windows was quite warm.  The bar lacked staff so was difficult to find someone to get a drink occasionally. Breakfast was good.  Dinner in the restaurant was very nice.

Good hotel

Did not stay in this hotel,  rather stopped for cake and coffee. Very clean and helpful staff. Great location, close to everything plus on same street as the castle. For dessert,  they served a yummy chocolate cake with warm chocolate blueberry sauce.  An unusual combination, but very good.
