I have just returned from 5 nights staying at this lovely and charming guesthouse. I have had the most wonderful stay and was lucky enough to get room 3 with the lovely terrace overlooking the harbour. The rooms are spotlessly clean with every facility you could need. Lots of clean towels, a safe, a massive flat screen tv and a really handy kitchen area with fridge etc.  There are lovely touches that the owner gives such as biscuits and candies in the room , apple juice and a beer in the fridge and a coffee machine in the hallway and fresh water. The owner and her husband are lovely people and always on hand if you need anything. I cannot wait to return and stay here again - you get a much more personal service than if you stay in a big hotel. There is also an excellant restaurant below the accommodation and the food is superb. Thank you for my stay and best wishes - Paul.

Fantastic stay at his unique property

This is probably the 8th year i have used Guest House Pegla as a first couple of nights in Croatia.  
The hosts are constantly creating improvements and Rooms 2 and 3. 3 being my preferred. Now have a little indoor area (with fridge and micro wave ) and access to a varanda now with added Jacuzzi. 
The position as I have said before is ideal for any visitor but especially the first timer. 
If you are hiring a car it is a 15 minute drive from the airport or a 10 minute walk from the bus stop in the Old Town off the Airport bus.
There is now a new self contained appartment on the ground floor very nicely appointed and very well equiped

Made extra special by our excellent stay at Pegla Guest House. Perfect location to access everything that Zadar has to offer. Goranka is lovely and so helpful and knowledgeable. Air conditioned room and a lovely outdoor space to sit and chill. Thank you for your hospitality, Goranka - it was most appreciated! 😁 Hvala vam!

Lovely first visit to Zadar....

Clean spacious room and balcony eating area. Great location and lovely hostess. We didn’t have adequate hot water and probably low heater to save energy. They asked the aircon to be off when out of room. Overly scented cleaning supplies but room was not clean enough for five stars. Enjoyed our stay and no big problems.

Perfect Location

This guest house is situated right near the edge of the old town within easy walking distance to the amazing Sea Organ and  the cafes, restaurants in the old town. Although our space was small and a bit quirky (oddly shaped, with tiny kitchen area), it was perfect for our 4 day stay.  Our host Goranka couldn’t have been more charming or helpful. She absolutely made our stay in Zadar even more enjoyable.   There was also an outdoor space with a glimpse of the sea and a working hot tub, although we didn’t take advantage of it.

Charming owner and great room

Perfectly located in the Old Town for walking everywhere.  We stayed in Room 3 and had a large room with a sea view, good-sized windows that opened for fresh air, plus a kitchen/porch area with large windows that opened onto an open veranda. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave and dishes.  WiFi was good, bed was comfortable, it was very clean.
Owner, Goranka, is professional but at the same time the warmest, kindest person.  She is a gem and we liked her instantly. She gave us valuable suggestions on what to see and do, left us with fresh fruit and treats, plus there is a quality coffee machine for use by guests.  Goranka made sure we were comfortable and was available if we needed anything, while giving us space and time to be alone. We loved our stay.
We enjoyed Zadar and recommend the town. Should we return, we would stay again at Guest House Pegla. Thank you, beautiful Goranka.

An absolutely lovely guest house in Zadar

We stumbled upon this place. It had all we ever wished for. A friendly atmosphere, good location, City Laguna restaurant around the corner, place to hang laundry, fruit, coffee and your personal touch. We felt the love, thank you Goranka!

This studio apartment was perfectly located just at the edge of Old Town. Though parking wasn’t included, we had no trouble finding affordable pay parking very close by. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating when we ran a bit late to check in. It was easy to find, clean, and comfortable with a lovely patio for the evening. 

Modern and convenient

This was a super place to stay when visiting Zadar. It is a great location at the entrance to the old city within easy walking of anywhere in the city and reasonably priced. It is a nice bright airy apartment with a patio area which overlooks the harbour. It does front on to a fairly busy road but is well insulated and not noisy. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a microwave ,coffee maker and air-conditioning. It does not have full cooking facilities. The bathroom, although a little small, is fully equipped and has a good shower. There is also an excellent communal water dispenser and coffee machine which produces very nice coffee. Our hosts, Goranka and her husband, were great. They are lovely welcoming people and were always dropping in little treats like fresh fruit, cake and pastries . They gave us a map with suggestions for sightseeing, dining, swimming etc. We found Kalovare swimming area, which Goranka suggested, to be very convenient (12/15 minutes with outdoor salt water pool, bar/cafe area and open sea swimming as well). We dined in Bruschetta (very good), Proto (just around corner) and La Famiglia (see separate reviews) We would really like to return to Zadar and would definitely return to Guesthouse Pegla. Would happily return again

The room was lovely and just what we needed for our 2 night stay in Zadar. The view was amazing and there was a wonderful little coffee and cake shop right under the apartment! I would highly recommend this place!
