The apartment was easy to locate in the marina/camping suburb of Borik and free parking was provided on the premises. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, both English (Australian!) speakers, who were most helpful in providing use of a washing machine, tourist information and transport to a local restaurant. The rooms in our apartment – on the second floor, so many steps to climb! - were spacious and had quality fittings, with a huge (180 cm) bed and spotless tiled floors. The bathroom was well-appointed, with a walk-in shower (which elderly travellers like us need!) The kitchen, and supplies from a nearby minimarket, allowed us to prepare breakfast. The famous sunset rated World’s No.1 by Alfred Hitchcock can be viewed from the balcony or a two-minute walk away on the waterfront. Bus routes 8 and 5 provide cheap transport to and from Zadar city centre. Overall a very good choice for a stay in Zadar.

Top class apartment

We decided to stay here because it was a bit out of the city centre and located close to the beach. It was difficult to find, but largely because we forgot that we booked somewhere outside of the city (this was hotel 2 of 7 on a long road trip). But, we stopped in the city centre at the tourist information centre and they were able to give us directions. When we arrived, it took us a bit to find Nada, who was cleaning upstairs. But, once we did, she showed us to the apartment, where to park the car and was very friendly while chatting with us about our trip. She recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner which was very good. The apartment was spacious, had the amenities that we required, and was clean and comfortable. The bedroom as large, as was the bed, which was also very comfortable. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning. There was an oscillating fan, which did the trick for me and I managed to sleep very well. Being far from the city centre wasn't a problem for us as we had a car, but we did notice that there were frequent buses as well. There are also many local amenities - shops, bars, restaurants, etc, so it wasn't necessary to go into town both nights we stayed.

Just what we expected

We only stayed here for one night on our Croatian adventure. 
One night was too much.
Locating the apartments, which are about 20mins on foot from the town center, we were extremely disappointed by the distance from the town and the cleanliness of the unit. 
The wifi did not have a strong signal and the fridge buzzed noisily when switched on.
Owners are friendly but if you are looking to stay in Zadar town this is not the place. 

Terrible

Couldn't sleep well after having to kill an alacran (scorpion) the first night, then we found another one the second day under the bed.

No air conditioning in the room. 

The nearby beach is awful, the water comes up to the road.

Wifi signal was very weak (from the owner's apartment), almost didn't reach our apartment on the other side and had troubles connecting to the internet.

If you still choose to go there, make sure you have a car, as it is really far from Zadar center, and have a GPS as it is quite difficult to find the place.

Avoid this apartment, we found alacrans in the room

We arrived at the wrong date at Vila Nada (we made an error in our reservation), so the apartments were unfortunately already fully booked. Even if it was already 9.30 p.m. when we arrived the manager phoned all his collegues to find another place for us! He finally brought us to another apartment with his car – free of charge! Thanks a lot! Next time when will stay in Zadar we will make a correct reservation to stay at Vila Nada!
