Well there really wasn't anything to dislike here, Bonzana our host was superb and knows the area well - gave us great tips on a couple of restaurants and places to see. For some, location maybe a bit far from old town but found the 15/20 minute stroll lovely. There is car parking within complex and it is secure. Loved the bakery at back of units. If going out to visit nearest island (20 mins by ferry) I would recommend taking car on car ferry so you can see more of island, bus not frequent if wanting to visit more than 1 village on day trip.

Peaceful Stay

From the moment that we read the reviews, to booking the accommodation through Booking.com, I knew I had made the right choice. The pictures of the flat hardly do it justice: it is even better in the flesh. The flat, as others have said, was in a quiet residential area but it is a very short walk away from the Old Town and the main attractions of Zadar. A pleasant 5-10minute stroll down to the waterfront.
 
Bozana, the owner, was a delight. She was in touch constantly by email before our trip (she was probably fed up with my constant questions but she always got back instantly with a smile), going out of her way to help me plan our itinerary, ringing boat companies and bus stations to see where and how we could buy tickets and leave our luggage. She also offered to forego the commission she would get from local travel agents for day trips to Krka NP to help reduce our overall cost! She arranged a taxi to pick us up after our late Ryanair flight in at 11pm and was there to meet us at the apartment and order us a local pizza when we were starving and everywhere was shut. It was some of the best take away pizza we have ever had. She also arranged a taxi to pick us up on our last day at 6.30am to take us to the bus station for our onward trip to Sibenik and Krka. She will also tell you all the best sites to see and the best restaurants to eat at (we highly recommend Restaurant Bruschetta down by the waterfront). I really think Bozana should branch out into events planning or wedding planning as she would be great at it ;-)! To add to all this, I should state that she did all this for us whilst coping with a few months old new-born baby to look after!
 
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you could want. It is very modern and tastefully decorated throughout. We particularly liked the new bathroom and the rain shower! The flat comes with Wi-Fi and Freeview TV on a flat screen with English channels if you’re the type to stay indoors rather than explore the wonderful city. There are two bedrooms, we only needed use of the master bedroom which had large wardrobes for storage and a comfy bed. The spare bedroom has a single bed we used as storage and contains a free safe to store your valuables (though note the instructions are not in English but the free WIFI and Google Translate soon sorted that!), plenty of fresh linen, shampoo and shower gel. A lovely touch was the complimentary coffee, milk and juice left in the fridge for us. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities but everything was modern and it was far superior to the “kitchens” (if they can be even called that) in other places like Split we stayed in.
 
At 120EUR for two nights, the same price we paid in several other apartments in Southern Croatia, it was by far one of the best we stayed in. There is a lovely motto on the wall in apartment Nika “May all who come here as guests leave as friends”. Sums it all up J

Simply the best; Bozana better than all the rest

Stayed in mid June 2014 for 3 nights. This is a very clean, well maintained apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is one of the units in a tall apartment complex, but it was very quiet and there is an elevator, so it was very easy to get to.

It is a 10-min. straight walk to the main foot bridge leading to the old town. Very easy. We found the location great because it is quiet and safe, no touristy crowds, and best of all, a big supermarket is just 300 meter (0.2 miles) away where you can get mostly everything from foods to sundries, etc. (The touristy neighborhood might have many souvenir shops and restaurants but the grocery shops there are tiny old party-store type and prices were higher.)

As everyone here mentioned, this apartment has a large open-concept living room / dining room / kitchen. When we were there, the bedroom had a queen or king bed (sorry I forgot the size but it was roomy enough for two Americans), closet, and a baby crib. The bathroom had a good size shower, sink, and a washer (FYI: one single washing cycle takes a little over 2 hours, perhaps due to their electricity having low amp, and this seems the norm in other cities we visited in Croatia. Also they don't use a clothes dryer in this region. The balcony has racks and clothes pins for that).

The kitchen had all the cooking equipment and utensils. The cable TV in the living room had some American channels (English). The AC worked well (there was one wall unit AC in the living room, so we kept our bedroom door open at night and it worked well). Did I mention the lovely view of the ocean from the windows and balcony?

We also received great service. Dina (the manager) picked us up from Zadar airport, took time to explain everything in the apartment including how to use the washer, showed us where to shop for groceries and so forth, and even took us to the central bus station and helped us buy the tickets to Split. On the departure date, she again drove us to the bus station for no extra charge.

This was our first visit to Croatia and we had a lovely time in this apartment and Zadar.

Apartment Nika

Lovely apartment fully furnished with everything you need. The old city of Zadar is 15 minute walk from the apartment and supermarket 5 minute walk. Dina met us on arrival and gave us information about the apartment and Zadar, she had also stocked our fridge with fruit and drink, which was lovely

Great apartment

Apartments Nika are a GREAT place to stay in Zadar!!! The apartment consists of a living room with a fully equipped kitchen annex and a dining table, bathroom, bedroom with a double bed and a balcony. Basically, there is a lot of space for a price you would probably get one room in a hotel.

The apartment is really clean and has a nice view of the sea! It is also quite and has a big supermarket within a 3 minute walk. Another advantage is that it takes only 10 minutes to walk to the centre of Zadar. 

The apartment is nicely furbished and has a pleasant interior. Towels, hair drier and kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery are all provided.

Finally, the people who run the apartment are incredibly friendly. We were even shown around the city by them. Additionally, they are happy for you to contact them any time before and during your stay if you have any questions.  

I would definitely recommend Apartments Nika!!!
