What a perfect little cottage, in a perfect location. Warm, cosy and well equipped. A fantastic super king size bed (a must for us tall folk!) Shower and a bath. Clean and well maintained. An idyllic short break in beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Well definitely be back.

Short Break away from it all

We stayed for 4 nights this week and we believe our trip was only as good as it was because we stayed here.

Firstly, the hosts were amazing and really made the stay feel like a home away from home. The biggests smiles whenever they saw us and always struck up a conversation. They could not be more helpful with recommendations for trips, food, drinks etc (we cannot explain how amazing all the recommendations were and absolutely made our trip more memorable). We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality.

The accomodation itself was very clean, cool and comfortable. It is located in the heart of the old town in Zadar which is ideal for your day and night excursions or for people watching while drinking at the bar the hosts also run downstairs which is high quality and very affordable.

I read on some reviews about the noise but we were in the room right above the bar on the street and this honestly was not as big of a problem as it was made out on some reviews, especially considering where the accomodation is placed.

My partner is also a vegan and this was mentioned in conversation when we arrived. The next day extra effort was made to accomodate this which was massivley appreciated when it wasn’t asked for.

I rarely leave reviews but I felt a duty to leave such a positive review for this perfectly run family business. I cannot recommend Accomodation Gina high enough and guarantee if you stay here it will enhance your overall trip.

Simply Perfection!

Very disappointed with the fact that they "made a mistake" and canceled my reservation after my stay and after I had already paid.  With the only purpose to prevent me from making a review on booking.com where I made my reservation. Why? Because I complained in front of them that it was so noisy all night that I couldn't sleep at all. Obviously they don't want any critics, only positive comments. It's other story how booking.com due to technical issue after the cancelation can not allow me to make a review. The lesson - don't make any complaints in front of the owners because then they cancel your reservation "by mistake" and you can not make a review on booking.com
About the property and my stay - I stayed for 3 nights, the room is nice and clean, the owner seems polite but only if you don't complain. When I complained about the extreme noise they  got annoyed and told me that they regret that I am not used to sleep at noise and loud music and that I am supposed to inquire about the place that I book. I almost felt guilty that I want tp sleep.
This is why I want to inform other people  to know  that the accommodation is in the center of nightlife. There are small alleys all full of restaurants where tables are outside in the street People party until early morning, then at 5-6 am streets cleaning machines start working and make noise again. Window and walls are not sound proof so you feel like you are in the street surrounded by all sides by clubs and restaurants. Just under your window the owner has a restaurant that works all night long, so there are parties just beneath your bed.
If you want to party all night and 1-2 hours of sleep is ok, then probably this will be a good place for you. But if you want to have some sleep then I would suggest to look for a place at the edge of the Old town where is more quiet and you  will be still very close to everything since the Old town is small. The area is great to have your dinner or lunch, but not to book your accommodation there.

This accommodation is right in the centre of Zadar. This does make it a little noisy at night, but that is to be expected and is a fair trade off for the location.  We were also there Friday/Saturday night in August so expect that’s the noisiest it will get. 

Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was good.  Air con was welcome! 

The breakfast was great and worth the additional charge. The buffet was plentiful and was more than enough for us, but we could have also had omelette or scrambled eggs if we wanted. I’m gluten free and they got in gluten free items for me too which was great.

We knew we were entering by the bar so we found this place ok. There is a previous review mentioning this accommodation is cash only but that is no longer the case. 

We felt very welcome for our stay. 

Great base for a Zadar stay

I loved this little place. It was a home away from home.

Upon arrival the host messaged us for an ETA and meet us out the front. 

The room was located in a beautiful old building in the old town. The building has belonged to this family for hundreds of years. 

The room was a good size with air cond and double glazed windows. It’s not at all noisy. 

The bed is comfy and I loved the beautiful exposed brick walls. 

The owner Dario is lovely and very generous with his time. I would have loved to have one of his famous breakfasts but I can’t eat too much in the mornings. 

I loved that this property is a family run operation. Dario and his daughter are true Croatians who offer fantastic hospitality. I would definitely visit again! 

Croatian hospitality in Zadar

We stayed in this property as a family of 11 persons. Plenty of rooms to stay comfortably.The place is at the center of the historical part of Zadar,surrounded by the sea. Some of the buildings are marked build in 1690 AD. However they all are well maintained and furnished. The owner of this property has a restaurant on the ground floor and they live on the top floor. The rooms are very comfortable. Plenty of eatable including milk had been placed in the fridge. Very friendly owner. Note- the owner accepts only local currency, no cards or Euros. I believe it is same across Croatia. All the place to visit are within walking distance. Strongly recommended.

A safe and comfortable place to stay

Excellent week in Zadar great location lovely people very friendly and helpful good breakfast close to everything bars restaurants would highly recommend... some people complain about noise? Really? You are in the middle of town and even so it's not noisy? We. will be back 👍🍻

Lovely accommodation with very friendly staff. They were very informative about what we could do in Zadar. The accommodation is located in a small street in the center of the old town. At night it was a bit noisy due to the restaurants and bars downstairs.
Overall a place to recommend:-)

Lovely rustic place in the center!

This is a very good choice for a place to stay in Zadar. Location was superb, right in the heart of the city. Walking distance to everything you will want to see. 1 minute to the seafront and crystal clear waters. Nearby restaurants, supermarkets and fast food pizza. There is also a bar underneath the rooms that is owned and run by the same people. The young lads that work there were always very friendly, helpful and energetic. The owner, who judging by these reviews must be Dario, was also very helpful. The room was fine, though aspects such as the bed frame were tired. It was, however, clean, spacious and totally acceptable for this price range. Included is air conditioning, hairdryer, TV with satellite and mini toiletries. Free wifi was very usable. Towels were changed every 2-3 days but not bedding. There is quite bad noise coming from nearby bars until early hourse. The double glazed windows do help, but earplugs are necessary. 
One thing that was a bit annoying was the transfer that we organised from the airport. We had arranged for a driver to meet us on arrival via email, but no sign.  We eventually decided to get a taxi. I'm not sure if the email address sends a message directly to Gina, or whether it is a larger company that deals with all the apartments in Zadar.
Top tip - make sure that you know exactly where you're going. The old town can be difficult to navigate and there is no signage. Look for caffe Dina and that is the place.

Good Choice

Cute place in the old city. My little home away from home was cute with a shabby chic design. Just like the picture... high ceilings, exposed wood beams/stone, rustic elegant chic feel with the armoire,  iron bed and clean delicate linens. Bathroom was small but new and updated. Good warm shower with good pressure. Breakfast was extra but good with made to order omelet and plenty of coffee (with cute foam designs) and also a minibar of extra selections of fruit, breads, cheeses, juice, and yogurt. Enough food, and even pretty, to help start your day. :) Conveniently located in the old city near many highlights. There was a slight mix up due to booking.com saying to pick up keys elsewhere but the keys were at the property so go directly there... ask the cafe/bar Gina. The bar/cafe is very popular with the locals till closing, so a bit loud, but I think it is like that everywhere in the center of the old city.... was to be expected. I had my own cafe/bar downstairs so very convenient for a quick drink and town watch. :) Room just as pictured, very cute and clean,  simple, comfortable, shabby chic design, but what really really stood out was the hospitality and friendliness there. I felt very welcomed and comfortable.  Everyone was awesome, super nice and helpful. Ivan who helped run the place and ran the bar downstairs checked me in, helped me with getting oriented, gave me a map etc.  He was the sweetest and made sure that I smiled and laughed lol. The owner, Dario, who's family owned the building and restaurant/bar gallery downstairs, was a good host. He was a very popular guy. He was friendly and even drove me to the bus station and made sure to put me on the right bus. He even gave me his card and said to call if I needed anything. Overall Lovely stay. Recommend. Cute, comfortable place. Clean. As pictured. And most of all welcoming and helpful hosts. Everyone was so genuine. Thank you Ivan and Dario!!! :)
