Excellent location in the middle of the old town, so this is ideal if you like central locations. 
The apartment is on the 1st floor in an old building and the internal courtyard is a bit derelict but this was only a cosmetic thing that didn’t bother us.
You access the building via the external door with the key provided or with an access code. 
The apartment is spacious, with a large kitchen / lounge, good master bedroom, a small bedroom with 1 bunk bed, decent bathroom with good shower and it was overall clean. It was a bit dark.
There’s a chance, for a not-too-dear price, to purchase breakfast, you get some vouchers that you will then use at a nearby restaurant, we tried this only one morning, it was ok but the place was quite upmarket and the portions in line with it (i.e. small) so once was enough. If you want to try this, you should enquire with the people that let you into the apartment on your arrival, they should have the vouchers with them, or e-mail the property before your arrival.
For those who don’t have a car: you’ll have to consider what is more important for you between visiting the monuments or going to the beach, if you prefer the latter then maybe staying in the historical centre for the entire duration of your stay is not ideal as you will then need to rely on e.g. buses to visit the beaches around Zadar, especially in the Borik area. Having said that, Kolovare beach is actually not too far away and can be reached in about 20 minutes' walk.
One thing we considered negative is the following: on arrival, we asked the guy who let us in (managing the property on behalf of the owners) where we can leave our suitcase the day we check out, which would have been at 10am (our flight was late pm), it turned out they couldn’t help as the apartment must be vacated by that time and there are no baggage storage facilities. We were advised to enquire at a couple of storage places in town, where we would have had to pay accordingly, we didn’t like this matter, in the end we managed to leave the suitcase somewhere for free, but I’m not going into details about where and with whom. So, while we were overall pleased with the apartment and the location, we wouldn’t stay here again because of the baggage issue, the owner(s) must find a way to sort this out as it is very annoying.

Very good choice for Zadar historical centre but please read

When we booked the apartment on Booking.com we had a little trouble finding the place but realised that we had booked the studio apartment (they have a few in Zadar) which was a few streets away from the one situated on the booking. 

Nevertheless, it was a very clean, cosy apartment, had everything i needed for our stay. Was within arms reach of pastry, coffee shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The lady whom came to meet us at 22:40pm while it was dark was very welcoming and her English was good. 

The only downside to my stay was when we arrived, i sat on the bed and it caved in, the wood was already broke and had been attempted to be fixed so i ended up sleeping on the floor for my stay which was fine, didn't bother me, just wish someone would have said. But overall the stay was very good. 

I would definitely stay again, i loved Zadar it was my first time to Croatia but i have to say i was blown away by the stunning Architecture , the people, culture, food and cleanliness of the country.
