Easy ride in from the airport just two stops on the bus where the owner met us at the bus stop. The apartment is right in the centre of the old town. In the entrance lobby and the only way out there was a strong smell of petrol. There was a fire extinguisher in the stairwell, in a glass case, but apart from a motorbike there was no other combustible debris. I couldn't see any sign of smoke detection alarms. I'm guessing these must not be compulsory in Zadar. We really should have asked for two sets of keys. If my husband went out taking the key and the other occupant locked the communal door into the stairwell as instructed I would not have been able to get out in an emergency. 

We stayed in the one bedroomed studio flat. It was pleasantly furnished . Thought there was no bedside tabes there was plenty of things to use to improvise one and a fantastic clothes airer that supported my budget airline sized case at a decent height. There were plenty of electric European  sockets, but only three coat hangers. 

The shower was good. 

The busker was there in the evening with quite irritating music and the weather was comfortable, in the first week of June, so we felt we couldn't use air con to drown him out.

The kitchen was well equipped with cleaning products, and a kitchen roll. The fridge was a good size we drank the tap water and froze our bottles to take on outings, and we couldn't hear it during the night, but there was some early street cleaning noises and church bells that I am guessing would be the  same throughout the old town. There was a chairs that we doubled up as a coffee table though it did have a slight slope.

As nobody had booked the day we were leaving he said we could stay until we were ready to leave.

Nice central location

We landed at 10pm and were taken to a completely different, smaller and much inferior flat. We argued to be relocated and were told we'd be required to move halfway through the holiday. Finally allowed to stay but the owner was uncooperative and unpleasant at the end of the stay. Additionally a local told me the owner organised taxi transfer was hugely over inflated. Avoid like the plague! 

Booking changed with no notice

Beautiful two bedroom fully equipped apartment in the center of old town. No onsite parking but there is a parking lot and street parking about a block away.  The apartment is difficult to locate as it is not directly facing the street. In addition the owner is not on site so a meet up time needs to be prearranged.

Very modern in old town

I am an elderly experienced world traveler, picky but not overly so, who does much research on accommodations before I travel, and am therefore usually pleased with where I end up. Clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient, friendly are my criteria, but I am a big fan of “olde worlde charme”.
This is a mini-apartment and overall I HIGHLY recommend it.
The Location was perfect, in the very epicenter of the historic district, and certainly in a safe neighborhood.
The owner speaks perfect colloquial English, and was very friendly and very helpful.  He was never on the site, but lives nearby and can be reached any time with questions or problems.  He recommended a great restaurant.  His mom came and showed me how to use the clothes washing machine (!!).  This a FULLY stocked apartment, you should need nothing, you could live there for the rest of your life and it would all just be there !!  Upon my arrival, the place was so incredibly CLEAN i was both scared to move around in there, and worried about returning to my home apartment which would compare unfavorably with this place.
It is hard to find the first time, so you must call the owner and arrange t meet him - NOT across from the pharmacy on the side street as he will suggest and you won't find, but at the bank on the main street (Calle Larga).  After the first time it will be easy for you to find, no problem.
The Bathroom size was OK
There is no Breakfast, go to the big cafe on the Forum up the street, or make your own inn the kitchen..
There was no elevator to my room, but it was only two flights up, and he will help you with luggage.
The bed was comfortable, there was a TV which I never watched.  The room was quiet - NO barking dogs, no loud late strollers in the street, no trash collectors in the early am.  There was a guy playing some instrument for tips outside my window one night but he left at about 10pm.
The View from my room was the main street, nothing special.
The all important WIFI worked OK.
The Value for the money was acceptable

Perfect mini-apartment in the city's historic center

This apartment is highly recommended.  Everything was in top-top condition and immaculately clean.  It is bang in the middle of the old town, but we had no issues with noise and it is tucked away down a little lane, off a courtyard.  The host was extremely amenable, meeting us at very short notice to hand over the key and flexible on payment.  You won't do better than this if you are looking for a one bedroom apartment.
