Awful experience, the toilet has no door, the photographs do not match the accommodation. The rooms are dirty, falling apart and many things broken. Food in the shared kitchen are mouldy and old. The door to a room is not safe and anyone could walk in. Owners/people who run the accommodation are rude, ignore you if you have any problems, just take money and do nothing to help. We had to leave after a night despite paying for 2 as the accommodation was so disgusting.

DO NOT STAY HERE

I have to admit that the location of the accommodation is excellent, and the doors separating the rooms provide enough privacy. However, upon arrival, there was a bad odor in my room, which left me with a bad first impression. Additionally, the towel and washcloth provided seemed unclean, as they had a persistent cigarette odor. Above the bed, there is an unsightly chandelier that worried me in case of an earthquake in Zagreb. Furthermore, the shower is starting to develop mold. It was also inconvenient that the code to access the accommodation could not be obtained through a message, and I had to call to obtain it.

Not bad, but next time I would bring my own towel

It was centrally located. Walking distance to most of the sightseeing places. Comfortable and nice stay. Host was extremely helpful.We found the place easily by tram after getting down in the bus station.

Best location

Pictures on booking.com looked very nice , moderately priced , centraly located , this place invite you to book your stay there  .  But , it is basically a room , with completely open bathroom (unpleasantly )  and SHARED living room ( pictures are mostly from there) . Yes ,they wrote rooms , but i thought that shared areas belong in hostels and in the past , and in different price range .  Undoubtedly, my fault, because I did not look and read more carefully when i booked , but still , the concept , bad cleanliness ,
information from  and attitude of the person who has welcomed us do not allow a higher rating .
Avoid if you can.

Concealed trap

So the building where the rooms are located is ok. Nothing too spectacular but the apartments are modern, clean and trendy as the name suggests. The only thing to watch out for is whether you are in a shared flat or not. My friend and I stayed one night there and found out that the kitchen and living areas were shared with another room while the room and bathroom though were private. 
The location is great. In just a few min, you get to different parts of town. Check out the tunnel a bit further up. It's a great shortcut that gets you near the museum of broken relationships!
All in all, it's  good deal.

Very cute apartment

The rooms are located in a normal apartment building. While the location is good, that's about it. The check-in and check-out is done at a bar in the same building. When we were checking out, the bar was supposed to be open, but was not. There is basically no services once you get to the location, because it's not a real hotel, just rooms in an apartment building. 
The building (hallway + outside) are quite rundown. There is garbage and random items around the hallway. The room in itself was renovated quite nicely, but overall has a weird setup. It's basically two rooms that share a kitchen together. It's a bit weird if you don't know the people in the other room... The locks also pretty poor, it would be quite easy for the other people to break into the room without any key. 
Additionally, the kitchen was not cleaned properly (the sink was dirty, there was something old and weird forgotten in the fridge). 

Like mentioned before, the room in itself was renovated, but the bathroom has no door, so it was a bit weird. You basically have to be comfortable going to the bathroom with other people in the same room. 

Also, coming from Finland, we found it quite worrying that there were no smoke detectors inside the rooms in case of a fire. At least in Finland, this is obligatory in all hotel rooms.

Personally, I would not recommend this place for my friends.

Good location, no services

Pros:
1. Location is a plus. Near all the main places to see in Downtown Zagreb
2. Public underground parking garage is close
3. The room is well furnished
Cons:
1. It is a basically a shared room. The rooms share a joint entrance and kitchen.
2. The room could have been cleaned much better
3. The staircase and entrance is quite dark and in pour condition
Advice:
If the other room is occupied this accomodation should be avoided. If not it is an acceptable accomodation for one night in Zagreb. For longer periods there are better alternatives in Tesla street.

Facts to know

We stayed here for one night back in July as it was cheap and in central Zagreb. (It is only a five minute walk to the Upper Town!) We arrived in the bar Denim Waves to check in as advised when booking. We checked in without any problems and were led out of the bar and around through an arch and up some concrete steps to where the accommodation is.

The room itself was lovely and modern and even had a replica chandelier as part of  the decor. However, the setup was slightly odd. There was a kitchen area immediately upon entering the apartment (I don't know what else to call it!) which was shared between two bedrooms. We stayed in one room and there were strangers in the next one. Of course, each room had its own lock and ensuite bathroom. 

Another thing was that the ensuite bathroom did not have a door, but a curtain which you pulled across to separate the bedroom. Don't get me wrong, the curtain was thick and large so provided a good separation - it was just a slightly unusual setup! 

A negative was the lack of lighting when walking up the concrete staircase to the accommodation in the dark.I had to use the flashlight on my phone as we couldn't see anything and it is a bit unsettling and you don't feel very secure.

All in all, Piu Piy Trendy rooms was a great location and fine for a short stay, however I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like sharing their personal space.
