We had a wonderful stay in Villa Veli. We came here off season and unfortunately almost nothing had opened yet. The very helpful host Damir picked us up at the ferry port, made us food, drove us to a restaurant and offered good advice. Zavala is small and lovely, far from mass tourism. There are many little coves to discover (he offers a boat/kayak too). Besides the sea, the town is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. We would probably go again but more likely in May/June, when it is still off season but warmer and open restaurant/stores.

Amazing Time in Villa Veli

When we arrived in Jelsa, we were picked up by the friendly host and drove towards Zavala. When we arrived, we were shown our room, with a cool surprise, and the sect was immediately enjoyed with a great view on the balcony. We were happy that we could have our dinner right at the host's house at Damir's house, because the Villa Veli includes a tapas bar Don Bego, with excellent food, plus delicious wine. The breakfast was delicious and served at the table. We could borrow squads on the spot so we could make great trips to the really dreamy lonely bays. For the host, it was a nice holiday around the corner, with a very friendly guest who likes to come around the corner with a little backpack (laughs).

A wonderful recovery.

I have rarely had such a relaxing, relaxing vacation: a beautiful, green and peaceful island of Hvar. Then this sweet, small village of Zavala, with few people. On a hill the villa Veli, breathtaking location. Convenient, modern rooms with balcony by the sea. Personal service of the host Damir, even in terms of leisure design. My favorite time: breakfast on the terrace.... then walking down to the beach - and just looking, swimming, laziness. Villa Veli should remain a secret tip, now I have betrayed him :-).

Breakfast with incredible sea views

The owner is very kind & helps you with all questions and concerns. The apartment was very clean and furnished with new furniture. Each apartment has a beautiful view of the sea and the terrace is served on the fresh and rich breakfast. A real secret tip for all relaxers & lovers!

Romantic sunsets

We have been looking for a place to relax and have become more than happy with the Villa Veli in Zavala. After the pleasant welcome and introduction from the owner of the villa you feel at home. This includes a bottle of wine, which is already mentioned in the room Marija. The rooms are very functional, modern and well-thought-out, among others. Apart from a very nice terrace with a very nice bed, very well-built terrace and a very tasty breakfast and breakfast, we have a very convenient place to eat and drink from the villa.

A relaxing vacation from his best side!

Our room was lovely with a great view of the sea from the balcony. The host was really nice and breakfast was delicious- it was served on a lovely deck shaded by an olive tree. We loved getting away from the bustle and tourists of Hvar town to somewhere quieter and less crowded. The local restaurant- Davos- had excellent food.

It was a bit of a walk back up the hill from the beach, which we didn't mind but it was steep so you need to be reasonably fit. I wouldn't recommend it for small children or anyone with mobility problems.

A wonderful stay away from the bustle of Hvar Town

My sister and I were guests there for several days this summer and it was great!! Damir (operator & owner) always answered emails and questions in advance very quickly and conveniently. He picked us up right by the ferry and was able to tell us a lot of interesting things about the island, the surroundings and the life in Zavala on the way out. The rooms are very clean & modern furnished and have a great view directly to the sea! The breakfast is really a highlight and completes the stay. Damir is very helpful and a great host, he operates the Villa Velivala with a lot of heart, which you can notice and appreciate even in the many small details. Zavala is really a real secret and a worth a trip! We can come back and recommend the villa 100%!

That's a great secret tip!

We were the last guests of the season, the rooms are complete and well equipped. The guest father picked us up from the ferry by car and was able to tell us all about the country and people on the way out. Mr. Begovic operates and maintains his apartments practically alone, he also provides an extensive breakfast on the sunny terrace. Boat trips are also offered on request with squid fishing, especially an interesting trip with Quads, happy on unfortified waves with breathtaking sea views. Mr. Begovic has a very pleasant, unobtrusive, but always available way. We are coming back!

Another secret tip!

Villa Veli was absolutely gorgeous!  This stay was the absolute highlight of our trip!  Not only are the apartments beautifully new and updated, but the breakfast food was delicious, our host very helpful, and the highlight of our trip was the ATV Tour to Dinner, if you stay here, this is an absolute must!!  We will surely be back to stay at Villa Veli!

Great location close to the beaches and good restaurants Damir, the owner, uh super attentive and is always ready to do everything possible to make the stay magnificent small room, well equipped, cozy and with beautiful view of the balcony the international morning coffee is well served
