Our group stopped here for lunch on our way back to Havana there was a great menu with many choices and generous portions the staff were pleasant and helpful 
The hotel was in a very location it was spotless and much to my delight there was free WiFi

Good Restaurant

Jet Blue Airlines assigned us to this hotel when our flight to Miami was cancelled.  What a lucky break for us!!  First of all, the staff at the hotel were friendly,and kind.  The woman at the front desk spoke excellent English.  We ate three meals in their restaurant or out on the patio.  All meals  were well prepared and tasty.  Our breakfast omelette was the best we had during our stay in Cuba!  Rooms were clean.  Enjoyed the art work on the walls.  There is no elevator.  This was not a problem for us...but, could be for someone with disabilities.  One block away is the beautiful town square.  We walked around and entered many of the buildings such as their library.  All were interesting.  Before heading back to the airport, we sat out by the swimming pool under beach umbrellas.  This area was quiet and relaxing.  I would definitely recommend this hotel....our port in a storm.

Lovely Hotel ...Great Location

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Very clean and pleasant room. Loved that in cause had a small fridge. Requested and received a quiet room. The staff was accommodating and personable. I will certainly use this hotel in my future.

Helpful Staff and good restaurant

Nice hotel compared with smaller BT adequate rooms when compared to the larger hotel nearby.  

Clean room, great shower, kind staff.

The breakfast is good.  Spaghetti with shrimp for supper was fabulous.

Easy walk to the town square and boulevard.  Take a walk and have lunch and a drink at Hotel Central while sitting outside, yet in the shade.  Enjoy!

Nice staff, smaller rooms but great air con!

Owner/ Manager only appeared to dispute our 2 night stay bill, on checkout.
Lack of good daily management all too apparent..
Centrally located, near main square.
Small room.Not checked.  Shower drain blocked- failed to spot water flowing over
the narrow lip, into the bathroom, into the bedroom, into the hall…
Low ceiling breakfast room.Unsupervised waiter deafened us, both days,
by non stop blending gallons of fruit juice, with the kitchen a swing door 
behind him.
Coffee- ask for a refill- 3 euros please.
Breakfast sparse and forgettable. Dinners too. Surly staff.
Pool should have been ok, apart from the blaring music to the 
non existent people at the pool.  
Worst hotel we stayed in in Cuba.
But good management would improve it..

Three stars- should be- but isn’t

The hotel was better than we expected.  The A/C was good.  Very pleasant receptionist.Our room overlooked the street.  It was clean but very small.  Bathroom also clean.  Some toiletries provided.  Nice bar/terrace.  Evening meal was nice.  Wine available at 28/35 CUC per bottle!  Breakfast was a choice of cold plate or fried eggs - no bacon available.  No lift but porter carried cases.

1 NIGHT STAY IN SANTA CLARA


This hotel is located in one of the side street behind the  main square. 
This hotel is not a colonial Building. A normal 3 storeys Building. 
My room look like newly painted, no window (it's better for me to keep the noise away from outside ) Everything is absolutely 2-3 stars。But aircond has a noise like water dippping. Very annoying. So they change for me. 
The second room has a window, But too noisy from the street,  the door lock not working well, the electricity plug felt off, the bedsheet has stain, the WiFi couldn't connect, So i ask the reception to change, her attitude was so rude Just say no. Said i changed Once. 
This is low season, hotel was empty. She Just refused to change. 
Right in the main square there are hotel centro, colonial building, outlook is impressive. Price similar to hotel America, 
Unfortunately it was my first choice but already full. 
Avoid this hotel, no offence. 

Warning: avoid

I have booked a double room at this hotel using trip advisor platform, my partner tried to check in earlier than me and was refused, the receptionist said I have booked a single room not a double occupancy, after 14 hrs journey finally made it to this hotel, they told me the same story, after showing them my booking confirmation they allowed us to the room with no apologies or whatsoever, upon departure the receptionist told me to pay again for the room just in cash it was a bit strange but the said the reason was the card machine was not working. They were another guests with the same problem, so ensure before travelling to this property you have printed the original confirmation. I was allocated on the 3 floor the room was  like a box no space to move around with mouldy damp smell, the AC unit very loud,  there is no lift facilities so ensure not to book this hotel if you  have any mobility problems. 
Breakfasts was very slow, service not the best with almost no variety. 
Please ask not to be allocated with pool view, they have a Decada night ones a week very loud.
I will not recommend this hotel at all service not the best, rooms small and smelly. 
There are Hostals easy to book through  B&B ( Adrianos Hostal and La Autentica Pergola), the service 5 stars as well as the food.
