Please stay away from this hotel! We picked this hotel as it was the last hotel available. However, the ratings here are much too positive compared to what the hotel delivers. We had three rooms with our friends and all rooms have been a nightmare...
- our bathroom was extremely smelly
- the interior was more than old fashioned 
- the windows from the 60s without any refurbishment 
- the room was dirty and the door already nearly broken
- the rooms of the others were the same ... dirty, smelly, extremely hot without chance to turn off the heater and and and ...
- the worst thing: during the night there have been a riot in the room beside us, screaming and totally drunken guys which destroyed the whole room and broke the door ... for sure, reception was out of work after 10PM ... unbelievable 

We complained about it in the morning and nobody cared about it! 

We will never come back and honestly warn others ... please stay away from this hotel. 

Worst hotel ever - dirty, smelly and out of control

We spend 4 days in this hotel. From the beginning you see that the hotel is a little bit outdated but with great staff. They´re really taking care of every guests and you can imagine how hard job it is with plenty of kids around :-) The place is clean, we had no issue. As a recommendation I would improve the quality of "kitchen". There was a nice selection at breakfast but the quality of food is average. Once we also went for a dinner at the hotel but it was not the right choice. But as I wrote, everything was balanced with really a passionate personnel in the hotel.

Great staff, nice location, value for money

You drive up and you are like... wow... nice! Then you walk inside and this clearly lovely, old building is in need of a serious makeover. The building has architectural details which reveal her provenance. But she is now just a shabby, old lady in a tourist town. 

On the pluses... we had a lovely large, clean two room suite, room 101, with a big bathroom and a jacuzzi tub (which didn't work). The beds were great and comfortable but the linens were visibly worn. The furniture is worn, the mirror in the bath was cracked etc.  She needs an update big time.

But my wife and I as well as our boys, read 7 and 2, loved the play room in the dining area, the hot chocolate in the bar area, the welcome drinks, the overall very friendly staff and the plentiful breakfast buffet. The bar manager and front desk staff were very conscientious and attentive... professionals notwithstanding what they had to work with.

I liked it for what it was and would stay there again but I'm aware of what I'm getting myself into... and you should be too. Go, and with the caveats set forth above, enjoy!

Grand Dame in Need of a Serious Makeover!

I found this Hotel some time ago and it was recommended by friends as well. So I went there with the idea of a great and classy hotel. It was really nice, clean and big room, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Also the breakfast was solid, tasty and a big choice of continental and local specialties. I felt very good!

One big and important negativ aspect: you can NOT pay by creditcard! Only cash in Czech crowns or in Euros. This is something I never would have expected in such a place. I had to go and get cash in the middle of the night.

So: highly recommended by the hotel, but I hope they will change the payment method and arrive in the 21st century.

Nice hotel...

We are here as a family- 2 adults and 2 children. The quality of the hotel is maybe the worst I have ever experienced. But somehow the total experience, is actually ok! We have breakfast and dinner included for all of us for one week and it's around DKK 3.000,00 (you do the conversion) which is really cheap. The food is absolutely acceptable and as most people here are with their children, there is an acceptance of children running around in the restaurant and behaving like crazy, which we actually appreciate after a long day of skiing. At 8 o clock it all quiet again and you can go to the bar area and relax with drinks at very favourable prices.
