The owners of this small pension were very friendly and did all they could to make us feel welcome and tell us about the area re skiing opportunities. They also have a ski shop within the premises should you wish to hire gear.  You can walk 10 minutes to the nearest ski lift.

It is within a 10 minute walk of the town area and nice restaurants and cafes.  The Norma supermarket is only a short walk away.  We even ate at a local pub for ridiculously low prices (500m from the Pension).
Breakfast is included, it is simple but nice and is served between 8am and 9am.  There is parking for about 5 cars, so we had no trouble keeping our car there.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay for singles couples or small families (kids ski area and fun park only 5 minute walk away)

a very relaxing 6 night stay

Spent 5 nights at this friendly and clean pension. Perfect location close to the busstop, hikingtrails and the village centre. It was very quiet and peaceful. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The rooms are simple but comfortable. The breakfast, which was included in the price, consisted of fresh rolls, cheese and cold cuts, boiled eggs and various condiments.

We were four people stayed in a Studio with two bedrooms.The owners of Pension Kraus was very friendly and helpfull. 10 minutes walk from city centre. It´s lookated on a hill, but after skiing you can allways take a taxi home, cost 140-160 Kcr. Or take the car to the parking spot, witch is  nearby. Breakfast was ok. 
+ Good value for money. You can rent your ski equipment at the Pension, very good service! 
 - You have to ask for toiletpaper all the time and you only get one small towel/pers, but it´s no problem to get one more if you ask.

Good value for money and friendly stuff!

Stayed there for a week to bike with some friends in the beautiful  Giant Mountains.
I felt relieved , when i drove home one night earlier than planned.

We all know that if you go to Czechoslovakia its because of the nature, the scenery  ;not because of the high standards in service or customer friendliness.
The Czechs don't know the meaning of words like "service" or "customer" .
It's something, you have to accept when travelling there.
It's still a beautiful world !

I had a problem with my payment.
The owner told everyone willing to hear that i did not pay upfront.
I proved my payment, he said he did not receive it ,so the fact that i paid was "not his problem".
A day later 1000 excuses because he overlooked my payment in his bank account.

Rooms are small.
No cleaning during your stay; that is up to you.
It's always dark in corridors.
Even in the breakfast room they turn off the light while there are people sitting there.
The breakfast is very, very minimum.
Some white bread, cheese,ham, paprika,jam, spread cheese with coffee / Thea.
You want some extra bread; you have to ask for it and get a reaction as if you just caused a problem . Want some coffee/ Thea ? Staff will look if other guests have some left on their table.
One word to cover the experience : Terrible
Špindlerŭv Mlýn  and surroundings is worth your visit, but find yourself another place to stay!
