We made a trip through Krkonoše mountains and this was a perfect stop. The view, the rooms, the surroundings, the sunset, but also the dinner - all was perfect! I wish we have stayed longer, but I am sure we will go back soon.

Perfect stay and comfortable evening

Visited in June 2021 during mountain trip. I visited the restaurant several times before and it was quite okay. Last time I did not know if I should laugh or cry. The waitresses are young unskilled teenagers without any training. No system of ordering and servicing. We waited around 15 minutes for menu, next 10 minutes for drinks. After ordering the meals we could see that for example by mistake they served 3x times second meal earlier than soup, if somebody ordered drinks they brought just some of them. Issues on the account, my meal was missing on that, waitress was surprised that I also ate and ask me "did you receive that meal?", finally not able to count together partial account with what was missing. Some people at other tables gave it up and left because the service was tragic. Meal was average taste and quality, beer good. The owner should hire better staff because the service was completely destroying the experience.

Tragicomedy during lunch

I decided to write just average due to the several reasons. The building and the place are perfect, there is no discussion about that. But obviously, the staff is not able to manage the restaurant. We waited approx 30 minutes for drinks, for meals 60 minutes. For one member of our group we needed gluten-free meal and they offered just boiled potatoes with nothing. My beef goulash was ridiculously small portion, just 3 small pieces of meat. Taste very good but the quantity of meal innapropriate. (see the picture) Long waiting to pay, and you have to pay with the same waiter that took care about you = again waiting. No credit card accepted.

Lunch at Štumpovka

The cottage is on one of the main tourist trails and offers nice views down to the valley. We liked the soup and the bread was really tasty, but we were disappointed with the blueberry dumplings, which weren't fresh, despite of the blueberry season, and which were served dry. The price for food which is bought and warmed up only seemed to us too high. To sum up, a good place to have a stop, but the dishes could improve to attract the guests back.

Nice location, but some dishes could improve

The restaurant of the hotel is brilliant. We didn’t stay overnight. Only had lunch there. The food was delicious, traditional and the staff was very friendly. It seems like a family business, which I love. Highly recommend this place.

I stayed here with couple of frineds in November. We started here for our hike on Krkonoše ridge. We had smoot check-in, rooms wwere clean and spacious and the personnel in the restaurant was great and kind. In the vening we used sauna, which was great finish of our day. I would dffinetely stay here again

one night stay

Štumpovka is very nice, newly built wooden challet/hotel of mountain type.
Providing also restaurant which si quite nice with very good food.
Price/quality is realy high.Meal was tasty and drinks were quite ok with the price according to the "high mountain" pricing which is usual on Czech mountains.
I do recomend to spend some time under the hotel where are swing-bechnes are situated on the very edge of hill with excelent view to valley where Rokytnice is situated.
