This hotel has many positive reasons to stay. Firstly the overall price is really good. We traveled as a family 2 adults and 2 children 10, 9. December 28-30th..Total 8,000 Kc...The first thing is the free parking and the accessibility to the front door when unloading skis, helmets, boots, luggage, etc...Then immediately upon entry into the reception area, the ski room is 2 steps away from the front door no going downstairs to the basement to store your stuff that's a plus. The front desk staff were always helpful towards me and they offered good suggestion about ski areas and activities. The smaller ski slope is 50 meters from the hotel, but if I want to try Studenov that is a 2 minute car ride up the hill and then ski back down to the hotel or take the tow ropes from the small lifts to the top of the hill and ski at the Studenov resort. Rohytnice ski area is 5 minutes by car and , remember to get there early for the nearest parking lot, after that one fills up you will have to park farther away and walk about 200 meters with your gear.

Rooms: We had 2 adjoining rooms with a common door. The kids loved it they felt like grown ups and we had some privacy. Two bathrooms in the morning was nice to have too. The rooms are not completely new or modern but we were there to ski and enjoy the outdoors not sit in the room.

Restaurant: We had the half board package and the food was really good, they gave us 3 options to choose from and then desert. The drinks were good, I had the Gambrinus and my partner had the red wine. The service was adequate but we were in vacation mode not in real big hurry.

Basement fun:
The kids liked the pin ball machine it offers many different variations to play the electronic pin ball.My son came in first place and his name was on top ;-))
Bowling was just OK the electronic positioning sensors could be adjusted a little for a more accurate reading of the ball position. Foosball as always is are fun activity. Girls against the boys, 30 Czech Crowns per game. Service was good and the wine and beer were the same as in the restaurant.

Overall I would recommend this hotel and I will return in the future.

TOP REASONS!! Value, Location, Restaurant

We stayed for one night to celebrate New Year's Eve. 

We had a really good time. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and location very convenient. Hills for skiing were just behind the hotel. 

Hotel has a good facilities as well. In the basement, there is a bar with virtual bowling. It is so much fun to play.

The New Year's Eve buffet was perfect with nice selection of food.

I would definitely come back.

Decent hotel

This was the worst experience in my whole life. The hotel is not cheap, but offers less than cheapest hotels...
We've had a family room. Everything in this hotel is from early eighties. Unfortunatelly also the mattresses and towels.
The rooms are very basic. The bed was in very bad state making loud noices with every your move, waking the rest of your family during the night. I was also not able to sleep, because there was only some 8 or 10 cm high matrass from soft material that once used to be called polyuretan. You couldnt stay in one position too long, as it was painfull.

The owner was very unfriendly.
The breakfast - cheapest rolls, old bread, the cheapest "ham"salami eidam 30% cheese, chepeast sausages, some cereals... my 3 years old son wanted to take the rest of his roll to the room after breakfast as he was very slow with eting - they stopped us saying, that breakfast has to be consumed in the restaurant.
After this experinece I bought my son the roll, and after first night we've left the hotel, despite the fact that we had to pay for 11 nights.

Never go there! Disaster

We went there for this year skiing holiday and won´t return to this hotel. We love Rokytnice, it is great place with everything you could think about during holiday from great skiing, many nice routes for walking up to sufficient shopping opportunities for the things you forgot at home :)
Accommodation - this hotel pretends to have 3*, but the accommodation is maybe older than I am (from communist times) and honestly such towels and equipment they give you for the money you pay, it is a shame! Even the cheapest hostel in Europe had better towels than they have. Not speaking about the toilet paper, ehhh :( And the room is very very small! And missing more places(furniture to accommodate your equipment, especially when they main business is in winter months..
Noise - for my liking the hotel is just too noisy, the wall are made from paper and many guest just go to they rooms after the evening meal and drink there. Mostly those quest are from Poland. (Sorry, dear neighbors, but it is true).
Breakfast - everyday the same choice, the buffet was rather poor for the money paid. No chance for vegetables, from fruits only apples every day.
Evening meal - typical pub meal, nothing special, but really big portion, if you value the size rather than the quality.
Staff - with exception of one (the younger one) receptionist - very friendly and helpful. Cannot say a word against.
Smoking in the dining room - dining room has some part for non-smokers in the back and very cold room, however most of the quest didn't smoke anyway and there were no ashtrays on the tables, so I was really disappointed that the staff allowed to smoke one single quest. All other smokers were nice and went to smoke to lobby, as there were every evening small kids present in the room (including our kiddo).
Children facilities - 2 playing areas  - not so nice as being presented on hotel pictures, but OK for small kids - our 23moths old was happy to play there. 
Parking - there is free parking area in the front of the hotel.
Skiing for small kids - behind the hotel with 2 lifts and instructors to hire - we just went there for snow fun, but could see the happy local and visiting kids enjoying the facilities.
We were absolutely not happy with the cleanliness of our room and have to complain to receptionist almost daily. She always helped, but the cleaning ladies were absolutely not able to do their job in time and without mistakes. BTW: the hotel changes towels only 2x a week (and they forgetting it = no comment).

Not returning there, sorry!

We stayed here for one week in February 2012. Room (3 bed) was warm (even it was quite still from -15 to -25 C) and spacious (3 bed). Kitchen and all people working there are ok. There is nice ski/sledge opportunity near the hotel, also all necessary ski services are within building.
Now the weak sides:
- the ventilation in the hotel is poor, you can feel kitchen and smokers from lobby everywhere you are. We have to wash all the clothes after coming home.
- when is hotel full and when is lot of snow around it can be hard to find parking place near the hotel, its also recommended to ask by mail before arrive about the free parking places and if you need to mount snow chains on the car to get the hotel
- all toys in the playroom are broken
If you will count with all above, you can enjoy the stay in hotel well.
