The guesthouse is very good to find. Right next to the house can be parked. Sitting on the terrace you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings, the quiet and the beautiful surroundings seem relaxing. Rooms/bathrooms are not luxurious but very clean and well furnished for the purpose. You can eat very well in the restaurant of the house, where the quality here varies from not so good to excellent. The breakfast is very good for Czech conditions, we were very satisfied. Also the reception was generous, helpful, convenient - we felt very well. Overall we liked the combination of convenient location, dining, and the snack and a drink on the terrace. The hotel is not a good place to drink. The hotel is not only recommended for guests to visit.

Nice accommodation with great views

I liked this small cozy hotel with good food in restaurant, and, of course, excellent Czech beer! Staff was very friendly and rooms unexpectedly quite big. We have been visiting Koloseum disco in the city, and our back after midnight was not a problem

Cozy place with beautiful view to the city

This is a hard review to write.  We were touring Europe and finding ourselves near the Czech border, had planned to spend the night just over the border.  We booked back in September 2014.  When we arrived in Krupka, we weren't especially taken with the area but knowing our hotel was slightly out of town were not too bothered.  The hotel is in a loving setting amongst the ruins of a castle - my idea of perfection really!  Inside it was very Eastern European, but clean and comfortable.  We arrived around 3pm and found a wedding party in full swing, which added to the charm.

My husband went out in the car for an explore, whilst my son and I stayed at the hotel,  He came back to say (long story short) that the Czech police had stopped him for illegal parking and charged a fine (fortunately not a large amount but an unsettling experience). After an hour or so we went down to have dinner in the hotel, had regained composure and were prepared to put it behind us.  Just before our starters were served, the waitress came to my husband and said the police wanted to see him outside, because of the car!  Me and my son were both very shaken by this, and the waitress kindly came over and told us not to worry, she didn't think it was anything to worry about.  When hubby came back, he was very cross that he had again been told he was parked illegally (in the place the previous policeman had told him to park) but was not fined again.  It did spoil an otherwise good meal.  The manager was told by the waitress what had happened and he very kindly came over and repaid us the fine we had been earlier charged, which was a lovely touch.  But...

We had more or less had enough for one night so went up to bed.  This is when the wedding became less appealing.  It was set up in the courtyard outside our bedroom window and as the evening became night it was obvious it was not going to be finishing early.

The (loud) music and singing finished at about 3.30am - I think we were all too depressed to look at the time by then.  My husband went to see if he could find any staff during the night without any luck.  He asked to see the manager at breakfast and complained, as did a Dutch family we had been talking too.  The manager then got very angry and seemed to think that the fact it was a wedding, along with the fact he had helped us out with the police etc the previous evening, should make everything ok.  We ended up leaving very abruptly, feeling like we had been run out of town.

We had no problems with the wedding itself, just felt the noise should have stopped at a more sleep-friendly time (we had done a lot of travelling) or that we should have been warned so that we could have made an informed decision about whether to stay or not.

If we had stayed on a different night I am sure the review would be very different but obviously can only rate based on what we experienced...
