We chose this hotel according to their website. It looked nice, modern, clean, the menu in the restaurant promised good quality. But when we arrived, we were little bit nervous as we saw the real condition of the hotel. Dirty plates in the restaurant, poor quality of served food, impolite staff. The interior of the hotel was even worse. Mess on the corridors, dirty room, old and broken furniture, dirty towels. It should be a 4 star hotel? Not at all! And plus, the management and all staff did not respect covid safety policy. 

Photos on their website are promising but the reality is terrible 

We visited the hotel with a group of 40 staff. It was wonderful, very good food, spacious apartments and the staff at the bar were ready to serve our participants long after the lockdown. A great compliment to the manager Mrs. Schmidtova, who perfectly arranged the stay for us. The hotel is a very good starting point for visits to Orlik, Zvikov or Breznice castles and also suitable for relaxation and in the summer for swimming - a sandy beach by the lake and wellness in the hotel.

A big positive surprise right by Lake Orlikstause.

Nice place for romantic weekend as well as work meetings. They have a conference room for approximately 35 people. The apartment we stayed in was spacious with balcony, we stayed in two double bed  rooms with shared bathroom. There are no keys in the bathroom and toilet, which is quite not comfortable when you stay with your colleagues, but it is no big deal. In the bathroom there was a  bathtub and shower, two washbasins. Toilet was separated. There is no lift, but the hotel has only two floors. There is a wellness section with sauna, big swimming pool, jacuzzi, relax zone, massages on order. You can borrow table-tennis racquet. There is outside pool too, quite deep, with "beach" bar or you can go to the dam and swim there (7 minutes walking). There is also a beach volleyball and tennis playground and field with horses. They offer also segway and bike rental. The hotel is surrounded by forests, the driveway is quite bad, but there are many navigation tags, so you don't get lost. The food was acceptable and the staff is quite nice and helpful. From the outside it looks quite old, but inside it is luxurious, and they say they are slowly renovating it. I would appreciate more electricity wall sockets. More "real" flowers would make it more fresh.

Lovely place

..more like bistro! These people have no idea how to talk to customers nor how to bring or serve food. When we wait for a drink not kidding for 25 mins and then starter and main meal comes within 5mins after each other like realy?
Not realy open to a vegetarian option, everything seems to be a problem.

Restaurant???

The rooms are big, spacious and bright, it does need some refurbishing in bathrooms and sauna.
The breakfast is basic but free :) Lots of space for kids to run around and lunch and dinner are at affordable prices.

Great for peace and relax

The surrounding nautre is amazing, the complex consists of a hotel and many villas. In/near the hotel is situated indoor/outdroor pool, spa, beach volleyball and tennis courts, horses and many other possibilities how to spend your time. 
We stayed in a villa (n. 8 - the "not as luxury one"). It is kind of peculiar how the villas are equiped - you cand find many contrasts when some things are brand new and some really old. The bedrooms are little unfortunate - there are 4 - 2 for 1 person and 2 for four persons (double bed and two single beds) - I would recommend for friends - you do not get much privacy - including that to get to the bathroom you always need to go through two bedrooms. But the balcony and terrace are great with the view on the water. 
We were really disappointed by the restaurant in the hotel - eventhoug the breakfast was good - in the evening the restaurant closed at 10pm straight no matter what and even at 9:30 the cook refused to cook us anything for dinner.

Unusual place, reluctant staff

I suppose it depends whether you come with an open mind: this is a unique complex from the 60s that the owners are trying to renovate. 

The indoor swimming pool is larger than in most hotels (18m), so you can actually swim in it. The masseuse was fantastic, highly recommended! The wellness area has a nice room for relaxation. Plus all the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in an apartment in the main building (which I recommend because of the facilities) and it was spacious and comfortable. Loved the large beds! Only wish that there was a small cooking space so that you wouldn't have to rely on the hotel restaurant only - this limitation is also why I wouldn't like to stay longer than 3 or 4 days.

I am a sucker for details so personally I suffer when the breakfast seems to be from a cheaper supermarket or you can't taste the tea due to the water quality - definitely should invest into water filters. Except that the food at the restaurant was great. 

Maybe it's the fact that as soon as it's renovated, I won't be able to afford it, or I simply liked the place, but would recommend if you're not expecting the Four Seasons.

A unique place

We booked this hotel to stay away from the chaos of the city, after two days of booking we received a request to change the room we booked, and all because we had our dog next to us. To allow that in the hotel search we popped up the permitted animal service, however they sent us new photos of the room that was going to house us. They arrived at the hotel a big disappointment, first because I don't understand why they write permitted animals when there is nothing at all true. Horrible room, rude reception staff. A big disappointment.

We enjoyed everything at the Orlík Hotel!!! Excellent service, clean rooms, swimming pool, sauna, massage! Very tasty food in a stylish restaurant. The reception staff will answer all questions.
