AN OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE not to be missed. Staying in this beautiful old castle surrounded by vine fields and history. Large outdoor terrasse and a very good and authentic cuisine. Rooms are good and has what you need and some with a view to the parque and terrass. Many stairs . The service is good and the restaurant and bar staff a delight. wHen staying here its like sleeping in ancient Czech history

THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN VALTICE

As a part of a bigger group, we were advised to stay in this place. There is an own parking, but you must carry all your luggage about 300 m to the hotel, as it is not allowed to drive your car in front of the entrance. Recommendation number one: Bring just toothbrush with you, otherwise you have to carry all your belongings not only to the hotel, but also to the first or second floor by hand. There is no elevator in house. The local population seems to be somewhat mentally devastated: the service people in the hotel do not actively greet the guests and their communication is somewhat limited. 
The room itself was clean, just the phone was covered with a thick layer of dust, remembering the day when the hotel was opened.

What was really positive is the fact, that even with fully opened window there was no single loud noise during the whole night. Unfortunately there is no air-conditioning or some kind of proposal which would make the survival during the hot summer days possible.

Check out time in this hotel is 10 AM, Also very infrequent time for check out. 



Very basic, but clean and very quiet 

Very nice location. The hotel appears to still on its way from 1970s to present. I had a room on second floor, nicely renovated  and modern. However, the restaurant and lobby appear very much as they probably did in 1970s. Breakfast was ok.

Nice location, average service

This is a very well located hotel if you want to be close to wine cellars and do some wine tasting. The rooms are very clean and spacious enough for a short break.
The breakfast was ok but not excellent, service a bit slow and it would have helped if there had been a waiter with some English language knowledge.

Comfortable Hotel

We stayed in the Hotel Hubertus in May 2017.  I picked it out because I had read an article about the rebirth of Czech Republic's wine region.  The hotel is in a wing of an historic summer palace in Valtice.  Imagine our surprise when we discovered it was one point of a 200 sq km region of the World Heritage Site.  Sometime long ago the Count of Lichtenstein came east to set up shop.  In 17th / 18th century fashion he or his descendants totally remade the topography, with lakes, ponds, and various hunting palaces, castles, temples and even a minaret.  The whole area is a wonder to visit.  However, the hotel itself disappointed.  Room service did not clean our room or replenish toilet paper, breakfast service was not monitored, so items ran out and were not replenished.  We did find the lounge and restaurant service were fine and the food was reasonably good.  Final touch, the National Wine Cellar in the basement of the castle, which holds 100 top scoring Czech wines and which had a sign on its door open from 10 AM to 6 PM, was not available to us on any of the 3 afternoons we were in Valtice.  Apparently when they have private tours they close the site to all other visitors.  Sad, it was the main reason for coming to this area.  But we loved the area anyway.  Visitors might be better served by the hotels in Lednice, another hub of the triangular area.

Great location in a World Heritage Site, hotel with service problems.

Modern and clean room on second floor with view in herb garden was very quiet . The  the breakfast below average , they could take advantage of seasonal fruits ... Coffee machine had some problem ... The evening dinner menus did not change and  are average . Good wine to reasonable prices.
Average  value for the price , but very peaceful place .Very friendly lady at the reception makes difference !


Peaceful back in century 

We were in the castle with a big company, and after the tasting, they were very happy to be in the luxurious beds of the castle hotel, quiet, quiet, comfortable, sleeping without their backs. Maybe the wine is to blame, but the hotel deserves a five!
