Pension Karlova is one of a kind. We have stayed in many star hotels, but the warmth, passion, thought AND cleanliness that they ensure here is unsurpassable. Each furniture in the room is well thought through. You have everything that you need for your family holiday, adequate space, thoughtfully placed furniture and unbelievably clean environment that the person responsible ensures. We were welcomed extremely professionally, with clear instructions of when someone is available at the Pension (no reception desk) and what to d9 with the keys when we check out. It was like clockwork.
A well-stocked shared kitchen (all crockery, cutlery, microwave, oven, electric kettle) AND complimentary tea, coffee....! 
Add to that fantastic cleeeeean linen, towels and a sqeeeeaky clean bathroom which even included a room freshener... yep, that’s what I am talking about! 
A few steps away from Charles bridge and above one of the most famous chimney cake stores... that’s a dream holiday there!
Cannot recommend enough... 

Prague Dream

What a fabulous place to stay in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Location was incredible just a stone's throw from the Charles Bridge. We opened our shutters on to the pedestrian street below leading straight to the bridge. Cafes, restaurants, sweet shops, souvenir shops all right there and endless music. Our huge main entrance door also led to a fairytale theatre run by a friendly characterful Italian. He would often be in the entranceway encouraging people to come to performances and people were drawn by the live music from his baby grand drifting out to the street. Magic! The room was really spacious with an old world elegance and high ceiling and lovely linen. Shared cooking facilities were handy for a cuppa. An excellent place. No reception though if that is something people need.

Superb location

We are staying here right now. They havent cleaned the room at all. They dont change towels, and you have to wait a long time for them to bring the key at arrival. 
When they finally showed up at arrival, they said they would change the towels daily if they were left on the floor. We did that on day 2 but we still haven’t got new ones (we are now on day 5). They did not provide us with toiletpaper.


No toilet paper or clean towels

Stayed here with family of 4 in the quad room. Four single beds in a massive room, with private bathroom, toilet, table & chairs & loads of drawers / wardrobe space. Massive windows that can be fully opened, let’s in the atmosphere of the busy street below. Access to a kitchen with all facilities including a fridge make this accommodation ideal.

Add to this the perfect location, less than 100m from the Charles Bridge. Really reasonably priced, we would recommend this as the perfect place to stay when visiting Prague

Excellent location, spacious clean room with all facilities 

Enjoyed our stay. The place is as the label says - not brilliant, not bad. Lady met us to let us in. We were late, and she didn't seem bothered. They had advised that payment was due on arrival, which was fine, but they hadn't said cash only. They had, after all, taken our credit card details when we booked. We didn't have the cash on us, so she came back the next morning for it. 
The apartment is up flights of decrepit stairs. There's a shared kitchen and fridge. The room itself is quite large, with new-ish furniture. Has an arty, bohemian feel to it. The bathroom is a bit pokey, and the shower is the smallest shower I have ever been in.
The location is brilliant. You can poke your head out the window to see the Charles Bridge. But that means it's a very noisy area. Tourists and drunks right through the night.

As the label says

Pension Karlova is near the foot of Karlova Street in the pedestrian area of the old town about 100 metres from the end of Charles Bridge - we leaned out the bedroom window for a perfect view of the east bank tower.  Apartment is in a very old, converted house and provided spacious accommodation for four of us for our short visit to Prague.  Although it cannot be described as luxurious, it is comfortable, secure, spacious and is very affordable accommodation in an ideal location.  Although on the main thoroughfare between Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square we were not at all bothered by the sounds of tourists outside our windows - thanks to some very effective secondary/double glazing.  Thumbs up!

Charles Bridge View From Bedroom

The Rodney Travel Club embarked on a whirlwind economic tour of Europe in May 2018. The priority was budget travel but comfortable and suitable enough for four pensioners.
Our Direcktor booked this with fiscal prudence in mind and we were extremely satisfied with Pension Karlova.
It appears to be a converted building right in the centre of the Old Town, surrounded by bars, cafes, restaurants and well within easy walking distance of the majority of the must see attractions.
Despite being so central the accommodation was quiet and our members found no difficulty in quickly snoring.
We had a room for 4, with single beds and an en suite toilet and shower.  It was spacious and comfortable.
This accommodation is not luxury but good basic vale for money.
Towels are provided, and there is a small communal lounge and kitchen where free tea and coffee is available to make.
Check in is between 1300 and 1400 and a member of staff is there to give you 1 set of keys (slight criticism here). You have three keys in total, one for your room, one for the front door and one for the courtyard door.  It is very secure.
To find the accommodation just look at earlier Trip Advisor reviews and you will find it a esay enough.
The Pension Karlova gets the thumbs up from these 4 pensioners.
Remember keep on travelling, the world is yours to see.
We only stayed one night and off to Dresden in the morning.

Live like a local, extremely affordable, Old Town Location.

Large, Clean and Lockable Room in a share house type situation. 
Perfect location near the Charles Bridge.

Very difficult to find at first as it is hidden behind a large wooden door and up 2 levels.
 Extra points for the staff as they helped with a delivery i was having trouble locating, and they dropped it to me in person

Large Room Good Location

At first i was quite sceptical on going here as i usually only do 4* + hotels  ,Part of a group of 8 celebrating a 50th Birthday ,Taxi Driver from Airport didn't have a clue were this was but still managed to tell us how much he wanted in advance ,think he well over charged us as well so lesson learnt avoid White cabs outside Airport ,get your transfer in advance .Place to drop off is the Irish Times bar then its just a little walk left up the cobbled path towards Charles Bridge inside the light theater entrance .we had 2 rooms of 4 .£100 per room so £25 each per night. Absolute  Bargain .
on arrival had to make a phone call to meet the owner who promptly arrived to show us around .If you cant do stairs avoid this place . The rooms were faultless on arrival ,good solid beds & strong mattresses ,clean sheets & spotless bathroom ,really happy with stay ,you can look out the window & see the Charles Bridge entrance you are right in the middle of town .shared kitchen area in between all locked bedrooms fully stocked with good quality tea & coffee supplies ,again spotless . Excellent weekend ,top marks
