the location and apartment itself is not bad, but staff is unfriendly and sometimes even rude...

Hi when I booked this hotel I am expected to be staying at the given location online. However to my surprise I was ask to go to a different separate location and was not told earlier. I went all the way to the given address, they made me pay full payment and not given room keys. 

This wwas to my surprise . 

But yes the apartment given to me was nice , clean and comfortable, but dislike the way this booking was manage.

Rating this hotel or la fiesta ?

My apartment on 5th floor was huge. it had a balcony facing west, fully equipped, washer, fridge, freezer free wifi, and even had 2 loos. It was clean and staff very helpful and pointed out supermarket (5 mins away) and metro and buses

It is 5 mins walk to metro Krizikova stop and 3 stops into old city (=70p ticket, about 10 minutes). Day travel ticket is £3.60. Metro stops at 11pm. Bus 24 stops nearby. Taxi is £8 from old city.

Avoid the Czech wine as it is very rough
Food and alcohol is not expesive
Recommend all the usual old city stops etc, but also try the Kafa museum 

I also hired an electric bike and had a fabulous day out along cycle paths to Karstejn castle (about 30 - 40 km). The bike does 25kph and has a range of about 50km on the flat. You can leave bike there and train it back or get a fresh battery and cycle back

We stayed at Praga Central Residence for 3 nights having to include one extra, summing up 4 nights.
When we arrived at this residence about noon, reception was apparently closed with a short letter informing to contact the owner.
We tried ringing the bell and, suddenly, appeared a winsome woman who does speak nothing English. No word!
Nevertheless, she made our check-in, showed the aparment and, finally, with a perfect mimic language, she gave us a map and "explained" the already-known Prague sightseeings. Even today I don't know her name but she was sweet.

It is not that far from downtown, but neither so near. There's a subway station (Krizikova) 10 min. walking but it has a tram stop 2 blocks (5min) from the residence.
To downtown, allow 5 minutes by subway or 10 by tram.

The neighborhood is quite "strange" at first sight. It's a typical Prague district. Altough nothing was seen or perceived, it seems to be safe. But keep your eyes specially opened at night. Prague is really safe.
There's a few option of restaurants, but there's a self-catering near - about 2 blocks.

The residence itself is huge and all-equiped. It contains 2 bathrooms. All rooms are spacious permitting to host 4 to 6 persons.

This place has nothing compared to a hotel. It is just some apartments they "rent" daily to you. We had to call the owners to pay our nights and request the extra one.
By the way, the owner neither speak English. It seems they guest many Italians, once they speak Italian very well and there are a great number of Italian channels on Cable-TV, so, if you have some Italian abilities, you will take some advantage!

Anyway, after the first night, we realized it is a good place to stay for some days!
