I asked again, this kind of hotel where time seems to have stood still and where the staff is friendly but not very motivated at the same time, so the cafe was pretty messy and smelled like cold cigarette smoke, but the rooms were pretty clean.

Shabby chic.

Somehow, this 1930s hotel is well located and probably quiet for a town hall. We wanted to get off there after we had been well served on the terrace and inspected the interior including the toilets. But at the front desk we saw some photos of the rooms and said we might not like it here. So turn around!

Dubious

Needing an hotel near Sumperk railway station this fitted the bill for our group of 3. In fact, it's about half way to the town centre, about 5 minutes to either. It's not a modern building, but the room was fine, overlooking a very attractive church. The receptionist spoke fluent English, but told us we only had a reservation for 1 person! I'm not sure if this was an error on the part of our booking provider (our paperwork definitely said 3) or a way of avoiding some commission to them? The room itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the form of a voucher which was valid for a few set menus or a selection to a set value from the a la carte menu (i.e. not the usual buffet).The restaurant here shuts early but I would recommend the D*123 restaurant across the road, although even here the kitchen close at 21:00.
Not much on the negative side. The nearby church has a clock that chimes regularly (although at strange times), so you might want to keep your window closed at night, and the TV has no English channels.

A Grand Location

Perfectly fine hotel with good sized rooms, very clean if a little basic.  Lovely views from the fourth floor and I was at the back of the hotel so no road noise.  Breakfast was acceptable and staff were good and very helpful.

Friendly large hotel close to railway station

I had a reasonably comfortable one-night stay in this hotel, but its old-time look and feel did not resonate with me. 

When walking the corridors, the air is stale and you can smell "old dust" in the air, even in the rooms (though otherwise they are kept clean). Depending on where your room is located, you may be woken up by busy city traffic in the morning.

The staff was "reserved, but overall friendly". The price was acceptable.

A comfortable stay, but rather outdated

Just for a one night and it is enough. My car broke down in Sumperk and I choose this Hotel because it   is close to the town centre. Do not  make the same mistake The Town centre is dead after six p.m. and the hotel is not bad just boring.

this hotel is through his best time

The whole hotel has gone through years of difficulty. And everywhere there is a penetrating smell of East Block - a mixture of detergents and soaked rye. But the location is very pleasant. Even though there is a party next door in the park, you don't hear much about it because the rooms are facing backwards into the courtyard. These are also clean and the bathroom is well equipped. Unfortunately, the breakfast is not special: I took it at the hotel's restaurant. There I choose between four menus, where interestingly, the menu in the Czech, German and English-speaking menus includes other things. Also, ant for the British, I find that only English men's photos are always uninteresting, because I think it's a good idea for the British people to show off the menu - I don't think that it's a good idea for the British people to eat at night.

Pure oriental flair - in appearance and above all smell

Very old hotel offers all you need to spend a night and have a rest. Price matches to the quality and there is nothing wrong but also nothing special about this hotel. Staff is friendly and I'm sure I will spend there another business nights.

Average hotel in the city center

The exterior architecture is of the most interesting, functionalist, suggested by the Moravian architect Tomáš Šipka and built between 1931 and 1932. Unfortunately the interior, probably from the time of construction, and has never been more than re-painted (note the carpet of the stairs as corridors, to believe that the landing is night time!). We had the 207, or a apartment on a room (understand a little bit better than the standard tour), but the interior was a little more compact (a small room for the Passionalism).

Really not top

The hotel is conveniently located between the railway station and the old town. The reception was still full to service even after an hour. The rooms are relatively simple in layout but clean. Furthermore, a large bathroom with shower. Breakfast can be taken in the restaurant downstairs or optionally in the non-smoking cafe one floor higher.
