We visited 5 cities in Czechia, and this was by far the nicest place that we stayed at (and it also happened to be the least expensive!).  The room was very clean and spacious.  Location is right on the square, so some noise was to be expected, but it was at an acceptable level.  There was a great view of the square right from our room!  The booking included breakfast which was a typical Czech breakfast of breads, cheese, and meat.  There was so much food that we were able to make sandwiches to bring along with us!  I'd highly recommend staying here.

Great property!!  Excellent value and location!!

I liked it here. It's a historic building in the beautiful market square of Telc. You can only park here with a parking permit card that you get free of charge from the owner. Also, the entrance is only allowed for holders of such a card. So you have to schedule the arrival time. Breakfast was fine and the boss is a very friendly person. The view from the window on the historic building is fantastic.

Comfortable

Perfect location with easy free parking on the main square. Very helpful owner, clean room & bathroom, comfortable beds. Breakfast is plenty. The main square can get noisy late in the evening or early in the morning, and may disturb the sleep - though was ok for us. Great value for the price.

Enjoyed it big time - great value for your money.

We stopped in Telc on our road trip of the Czech Republic and it was definitely a highlight. We were delighted when we found out our accommodation was in the town square and even more so once we were shown our room which had windows facing the square. The room was very clean and the staff were lovely (even with their little English). We had the breakfast which was huge. The bathroom was modern and the beds were comfy. We were very happy with our stay.

Nice surprise

It's an excellent boarding house. It's in the central square. Parking is free right on the square. It's very pleasant - 32 euros, and with breakfast - a small snack.

The owner/operator hardly spoke any English yet we were able to communicate with him quite well.  We had a perfect room right on the outside square of the building yet the noise from the restaurant/bar below wasn't intrusive.  The room was  furnished with the basics and everything was sparkling clean.  It was great for a one night stop to see the Telc square and rest up for the next day's traveling.

Very clean place to stay - well priced

This is a great location on the UNESCO listed square in Telč, you can't really be better placed! The room we had was large and comfortable with a fantastic view of the square. The owner is a charming and friendly gentleman. Breakfast was a very good, fresh continental style affair. Very, very satisfied all round.

Superb!

It's a small hotel with three rooms. It's very clean. It's very clean. It's very clean. It's very clean. It's very clean. It's very well thought out. It's a lot of hangers, shelves where you can hang and put all your things and laundry. It's very nice. It's a nice location. The windows are on the main square.

The Kotrba Privat

Mr Kotrba runs an excellently located private boarding house right on the historic (World Heritage) site in Telc. Rooms and bathrooms were large and well maintained, breakfast was sufficient and varied ( sausage, cheese, ham, marmalade, cake, yogurt, bread, etc.) The only thing disturbing was the brightness of the old house, but this is the case with historic properties.

Excellent private pension

It's a very good location. The house is an architectural monument, it's over 500 years old. I liked the room, the view from the window to the square. The owner is friendly, but doesn't speak Russian. The kitchen is common. On the ground floor (and in summer and next to the building) there's a pizza place until 10 p.m. So if you go to bed early, it makes sense to stock up with earplugs.
