I think the high ratings of this hotel are more about the Calf himself. The city is really very nice! I can't say the same thing about the hotel. The only plus is that the rooms are big enough. That's all. Let's start with the fact that I paid for a two-seater room for two, but came alone, but the owner gave me one towel! There was no towel for my feet either, only a terrible kind of carpet in the bathroom. Of course, there were no shampoos and shower gels, but just a bubble of cheap liquid soap that almost didn't wash. However, washing their hands and washing was still possible, and I was at the same time using a toilet paper towel! - Including the furniture in the room! - I also understood the story, but there was no toilet paper, but there was no toilet paper, and I could not see a small cup of tea with a small cup of tea.

The master likes to save too much!

There is more to say but I will start with the charges. I made a reservation through a booking agency that confirmed a price for our room (including taxes) to be 1436 Czech Crowns. We made arrangements for breakfasts at 67 Kc/ea. At registration I was charged 1520 Kc for the room and 90 Kc/ea. for the breakfasts; without explanation. US$7.65 is not an onerous amount but the principle of increasing charges is enough to prevent me from returning to, or recommending, this pension to others.
Going on, beware that there is no signage or indication where reception is located. We spent extra time hunting down the proprietor in order to secure our room. When we arrived at 4 pm, our room was not completely ready for us. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes for maintenance and repairs to be made. In the end, I would characterize the room (two-room suite) as basic or bordering on Spartan, no frills; truly two-star.
Did I mention that the booking agent and confirmation told us that check out was set at noon. The proprietor told us three times that we must be out by 10:00 am. The proprietor speaks only very limited English. Had I not been able to speak basic Czech, communication would have been very difficult; be advised. 
On the up side, the location is close enough to the center of tourist attractions, restaurants, grocery, etc. Just beware that the nearby shops close at 4-4:30 pm. Later amenities are found on the main square at much higher prices.
If I return to Telc, I will find another accommodation.

I Feel Cheated

The apartment is spacious, it has microwaves, the fridge, for 4 is great, and the car in the garden is visible from the window.The quiet place is a few minutes walk from the center, restaurants, castle, lakes, plaza... the only draw is that they do not accept card payment, and that in exchange as you already know in other comments, the price increases slightly.The man who received us only speaks Czech but is smiling and kind.

Quiet hotel in the center of the city.

We stayed at this hotel during a family trip through the Czech Republic. The hotel is clean, the host is friendly, there is a small parking lot in front of the house. The problem was a small one with finding the hotel. It's in the backyard and you can't see the room from the street. But they quickly figured everything out. The hotel is very quiet and quiet. In the morning the hosts prepare a small breakfast for the guests. Budget. Everything was nice.

A self-guided trip to Telch.

We found in Telc this nice rustic small guesthouse where it is nice to live, but the comfort is summarised., My husband and I did not have a bed together.The person in charge does not speak a word of English, but he is very nice and smiling.Here is a good hotel in Bohemia but just for one night no more!!

It's a nice little hotel. The staff was hospitable and gave us some advice on restaurants even though they didn't speak English.

The staff is friendly.

The lady who took care of us, all a love like her husband who prepared a good breakfast for us. They provided us with more information than many tourist offices. A precious room with everything necessary. If you travel to Telc do not look elsewhere.

 Exceptional

Not easy to find I have to confess, it's inside a court so very quiet ! 
The hosts just know the English basics which is very exceptional in this region!
Nice town, great parks but because it's small town one day is useful to do the best things. And very beautiful place, unesco classified, with good architecture!
