I had a great experience here, staff is friendly and speak english, food is great and of good quality, and the price is reasonable.
Recommending to eat here; thai soup (spicy) and the pork neck (see the picture)

Quality, friendlyness and good value for money

Not sure how old the building is but the rooms whilst having an old fashioned twist with timber beams are very modern. Adequate space and a spacious bathroom with good toiletries. The room was lovely and clean. The only drawback was it was very hot and opening the window onto the road was very noisy in a roadside room - try for one along the side. Our friends scored a suite which was enormous and included a spa bath, a fantastic room.
The staff were extremely obliging and helpful. Stored our bicycles in a locked shed which was spotless and seemed very safe and secure.
Breakfast was good.
There are too many eating options close by so for dinner you might want to eat in-house which is also very good.
Oddly in the basement there is a 10 pin bowling alley. It wasn't open when we were there but maybe you can ask for it - probably provides entertainment in winter when its freezing outside.
OIts located a few hundred metres walk to the old town which isn't a problem (in summer at least).

A modern twist on an old building

We stayed here one night with our family of four. We had 2 separate rooms. The first one was fine: clean, big enough for our two teenage sons, good beds, etc. 
The second room was a surprise: some sort of executive room that even had a bubble bath in the room. 
The beds were good, the bubble bath was great and the staff was friendly. The hotel offers some additional services: the restaurant is reasonably good and you can even play bowling here (on 1 or 2  mediocre bowling lanes). All in all not a bad choice to stay a few nights here.

This hotel is obviously a very old building but the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable while maintaining the rustic charm of beams in the ceilings. We walked through the nearby park and into town for dinner. The main square of Telc is magnificent and well worth a visit.
After a good night's sleep, the breakfast was very welcome and sufficient to get us underway for another day. Facilities are good and the staff very welcoming.

Modern with a rustic feel

We stayed here for five days as we were attending our son's wedding. The reception was held at the hotel and everything was perfect. The rooms were very clean  and at times quite warm but fans are provided. As other people have said there is noise from the road but it didn't bother us too much. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and obliging. It is a short walk from the centre of town and at the back of the hotel is the castle park.  We had a very enjoyable stay here and would certainly return.

A very comfortable stay

Excellent food although they do not have free slots in restaurant for hotel visitors for dinner :( Restaurant was fully booked.
Spacious Room was  not cleaned during our stay. Very good hotel location - close to the main square and castle.
