Stayed for 1 night, in a 4 bedroom, 10 minutes drive from city center, rooms pretty nice, nothing special, friendly staff, expensive like everything else in Denmark.
Nice local area around, free parking for car. bathrooms outdated, small rooms

Close to city

Our family stayed here in early March and couldn't have had a more magical experience! We loved the location, set back in the woods and an easy walk from multiple public transportation options, and were so pleased with the room as well. To top it off, the staff was so helpful and kind, going above and beyond to help us have a wonderful stay in town. While we wouldn't necessarily have a reason to visit Aarhus again in the future, we would seriously consider staying here again to relax and enjoy the stay at Danhostel Aarhus!

A magical setting for a wonderful vacation!

First of all if you book a hostel, you don't expect a lot, just a bed to sleep and a bathroom. The only things that make a hostel nice are the people.
And that was totally not the case with the Danhostel outside of Aarhus. Before we were able to go to our rooms we got a lecture of everything we were not allowed to do. Like no own drinks and food, not just in the rooms but in the whole area of the hostel. We were a big group of students with our professors and wanted to have a picnic after the arrival. We were hardly allowed to put our luggage in the rooms with the "bad" food and drinks in hand. And she not just told us the rules she was just rude.
On the first day you probably think okay everyone can have a bad day but it got not better.
It was truly the worst hostel experience ever and I went to many hostels all over the world.

Is it a prison or a hostel? True nightmare!!!

Great rooms With friendly and helpful staff. Would defiantly stay here next time visiting aarhus.
Right in the heart off Aarhus and close to local bars restaurants.
Nice breakfast and cheap prices in the cafe on the top floor with a great view over the city.

Fantastic hotel in the City center

Have been to few hotels but this must be the nicest location in Danmark. Friendly reception, clean room and good selection for breakfast. Perfect starting point for numerous walks through Risskov woodlands. 

Nice Hideaway 

I arrived here with a group of about 50 people in the night. It wasn't easy to find the hostel neither the rooms, the room utilities were not as expected from a Dan hostel. There is no clear directions to get to the city other than going out to wait at the bus stop. The breakfast was average, but of good Danish quality.

Ok stay for a low price

Before the conference we were told to stay at this hostel. Unfortunately, rules during our stay were quite weird to me. We could not eat at the rooms and we had to bring linen and towel otherwise we would get fine. Hostel is 30 minutes walking from the city centre, it is possible to use bus which stop nearby.

One night stand

I was only two nights at this Hostel, it is located 30 maybe 40 minutes walk from the center ( the street is a little inclined ) Or with the bus number 17,18 and 20 at the main street 5 min from the hostel , it is in a huge park perfect for those who enjoy hiking and nature. The lady at reception was nice and helpful , however there is not always someone at the reception, so make sure you know the opening time or ask everything you need to know when you checking in! The breakfast is good, a little more than basic, in my opinion. I have to say, its good for a Hostel!

Functional!

Beautiful building and park around. Good location, close to the city by walk through the peaceful area. Very clean bathrooms, comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Free WiFi, friendly service.

Bed linen is extra paid, so remember to have your own!
