A cozy, wonderful two night stay on Ærø. Hanne and Steen were incredibly kind and helpful to us and always up for a good conversation. We came with our 1-year-old and they were accommodating especially given it was our first hotel with a baby.  The room and common areas were clean and there were hand sanitizers located throughout the B&B. And the garden was a lovely place to have a drink and watch our baby explore. 

The food was incredibly delicious as well. Breakfast was usually served beginning from 8 am and included coffee, orange juice, skyr, boiled egg, etc. Dinner was a feast. They use local products and the serve traditional Danish. 

B&B was also easy to find coming off the ferry from Søby (an 8-minute drive). I would highly recommend this place to other families looking for a nice getaway weekend on Ærø. We will surely come back.

Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms - highly recommended

At the recommendation of our Airbnb host, we stopped here for lunch with our toddler. They had lovely seating in the garden (in the sun or the shade of the trees), and had high chairs available. The menu was all in Danish, but the waiter worked with us to translate into English. They had a vegetarian sandwich, and could make anything on the menu into a kids meal. My daughter ended up with a piece of breaded and fried fish that she loved. My husband had pickled herring that he loved. My veggie sandwich was delicious, and I had noticed them baking the bread for it right before it was served. They had local Aero beer, and a nice assortment of other drinks. A great lunch!

Delightful garden lunch

We stopped here for lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Food and service was very good and although the garden is in dire need of some TLC, it provided a nice setting for our meal. We sampled the herring, ham and vegetarian plates, and all three tasted good. Prices are ok too.

Nice lunch in the garden

It is a real cosy place and the food is just awesome. All their food is locally sourced. Marianne and Michael are wonderful hosts who also helped us arrange a beautiful coffee and cake after our wedding in their garden. Our families loved it.

Nice place to stay with great hosts

We went here without expectations and was taken completely by surprice by the quality of the food. 
All is as local as possible and really high quality. It is not cheep but worth it.
This was the best food we had on Ærø, and although there was no kids menu our children also loved the food.
We sat in the charming garden under a huge tree and I really recommend sitting outside as the indoor seemed a bit packed.


Great food - all local and high quality

After our second bicycle day on the island, we spent the night here. Cosy place, nice rooms, comfortable beds, however only two bathrooms/toilets to be shared with other guests. A disappointment was the nearby church with its bell ringing every half  hour and disturbing our sleep. Breakfast was a bit poor and not so well organized. However, the dinner was excellent and the owners very nice.
