My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Skrobelev Gods Manor House.  Our room was spacious with lovely  decorations, walk-in shower and a jacuzzi.  The breakfasts had terrific fresh breads, fruits and meat.  The five-course dinners were superb with a great variety of choices, delightful presentations, and excellent wine.  We highly recommend Skrobelev Gods for a refreshing and relaxing get-away.

Fantastic holiday

We booked a deal for one night in a romantic suite at the Manor House which is as delicate and tasteful decorated as the rest of  Skrobelev Gods and enjoyed our stay with a guided tour around the Manor, great food and sercvice and was impressed to hear the story about the restauration and thoughts behind the making of the Manor. We can only recomment a stay and sightseeing of Langeland Island

Romance and mindfullness

Really nice place, just outside Rudkøbing at Langeland. Nice comfortable rooms, good service and excellent food. Very friendly service.
We had a guided tour around the gods, with an excellent guide.
Booked a suite, which is strongly recommended.

Very nice place to spent a romantic time

This is a charming hotel. By British standards - I would not call this a manor- rather a tastefully refurbished farmhouse. The guided tour was very informative and humorous. I like the way the owners are taking the restoration in steps. One can see what the next projects will be- and I look forward to seeing them being done in due course.
The breakfast and 5-course dinner was fabulous. Rooms are well appointed, if a little on the small side.

Lovely farmhouse hotel in charming surroundings

The Manor House location is excellent, the rooms warm, well furnished and the beds very comfortable with crisp linen.
we liked that they are dog friendly and there is plenty of green around for them to romp on (but note, dogs are not allowed in the lounge or dining room)
The breakfast was good with fresh rolls, eggs, hams, cheeses and jams and good fruit juice.
we enjoyed our stay which was on a deal, except - and this is the problem - the dinner menu was startlingly limited and dull with uninspired cooking.
there was a choice of just 2 starters - a soup or duck breast. No choice of mains - which was a rather dry glazed pork with a basic mash, one carrot a baby leek and a poorly flavoured sauce. One dessert was offered. Absolutely not worthy of the tasteful chandeliered dining hall.

Back on the plus side, the wines were good and they certainly know how to make a good irish coffee, which we enjoyed after the meal in the welcoming wine cellar.
But was it worth making a long car trip to experience? - No, we have enjoyed much better value and far better cooking in other establishments.

GREAT SETTING BUT REALLY DISAPPOINTING FOOD

Booked a trip to skrøbelev Farm. Pictures looks nice but appearance when being there is not the same. Somewhat disappointing. We booked the president suite and champagne on arrival. The champagne was € 5 supermarket 5% sweet wine. Room had no tv, no bath robes, no slippers. Food was nice. We bought a bottle of wine for eur 70. It was expensive but ok tasting. We did not buy coffee or anything else as we knew it would be overpriced. 

Kitch overprice place

The first impression was rather bad. We paid extra for upgraded room. But the room was rather small. They explained that the building is protected against significant changes so that is why rooms are small. They also choose no TV set in rooms what was fine or even an advantage.
Cleanness seemed to be fine. Unfortunately, after taking few steps with bare feet after shower that was clear that it was only an impression. 
Evening food was tasty and definitely nothing to complain. They charge house wine 325 dkk what was fair since street price is 95 dkk. 
The buildings are under renovation. New 5 rooms should be ready soon. Today they have 19 rooms. The owners possess also a castle in France. Being in their property in Denmark you can get 20% discount visiting French facilities. Lovely offer for VIP guests, they say. 
Stopping boring you, inconsistent experience. Far too expensive in our humble opinion. I am not sure we return here anymore.

They have a good cook.

The room was fine, the dinner was lovely, but the head of the hotel was truly a turn off! The hotel was clearly only focused on selling more and more ad-ons. 
It began with trying to upgrade us from a junior suite to a suite, to a tour around the premises with the other guests where we were told about the other hotels in the portfolio where we could get a good deal, to dinner where they tried to push purchasing champagne to a 5 course meal to the most expensive wine on the menu. When politely declining the head waitress - Ana - she began clearly offended and dismissive. 
The head administrator Ana, was clearly with one aim only and that was to sell additional services or products... it was such a turn off. Simply annoying. 
Back to the hotel - lovely rooms and beautiful area, but although the architecture is very nicely restored, whoever the interior designer they employed was, they did a terrible job - very tacky and not anything you would associate with Danish style. 
All in all it was a mediocre experience, but in particular based on Ana’s presentation of the location and the constant sales pressure - we would absolutely not recommend the place and would not return.
