I have stayed in this hotel for one night due to a working trip. The experience was not satisfying at all. I found two spiders and a warm in the room, together with the fact that the stick holding the curtain fell on me when closing it, The bathroom didnt have a hairdrier, the heating on my colleague's bedroom was not working,,, I am definately not going to recommend the hotel to my company next time.

Dirty and not adequate with the price

This place stinks! Have you ever heard of environment? If you are allergic to perfume do NOT stay here! If you are not, DO NOT stay here anyway! I must say: I am not sure, how I will sleep in this stinch!!

Too much perfume!

The hotel is located in a quiet countryside. The hotel has a good room and a good bathroom.

A good address

All the staff are not just helpful but are truly friendly and warm. It's nice to have people who care for you when traveling. The owner is often at the desk watching to see if he can help in some way. When we walked in with bakery bags (Danish pastry anyone?) he noticed and insisted on supplying us plates etc. I cannot complement the restaurant enough either. Very good food!! The free breakfast has in-house homemade bread!!!! Even the Danish crackers at dinner are homemade deliciousness. The bed was comfortable, two twin size pushed together, with nice soft sheets. The two low points are they badly need to gut the bathroom and put in all new and they could use new pillows. There is no AC, so this could also be a problem in summer. It was not for us as the weather was unseasonably cold. Even with these flaws the hotel is comfortable with staff that works hard to ensure you enjoy your stay!

Friendly staff

Was allocated a very small room in the "house" in the middle of the courtyard. Room was very small & smallest single bed Ive ever seen. But room was very clean. So not very impressed at all with this very small room & bed. However............the restaurant was absolutely fantastic & some of the best food I've ever had in Denmark. Also the staff were exemplary in every way & very friendly indeed. So poor room but everything else absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic staff & food

I've just stayed for two weeks on business with some colleagues at the SkovriderGaarden in Nakskov.  We overlapped the Eurovision song contest in Copenhagen, with Nakskov barely raising an eyebrow in its direction.
Nakskov is a very, (VERY), quiet town near the coast about 2 hours drive from Copenhagen.  the town is pleasant but appears empty.  The few cafes in town shut about 5-6pm , with only a couple of restaurants being open till 8pm or more.  There are a few bars which also shut by 9:30/10 on a week day but try a little harder Thursday/Friday/Saturday.  Everyone we met were friendly and most spoke pretty good English.  Infact most people we spoke to seemed to be Liverpool fans and were as gutted as us when Man City won the title.  The pubs do have characters, (e.g the Jernbanehotellet's, 78 year old ex sailor, sit's punter side of the bar with his enormous 8 month old, friendly Dogue du Bordeaux).
The SkovriderGaarden Hotel is a clean , basic hotel with largish rooms for a reasonable price.  Its set in a wooded area near a lake and is very quiet.  The reception area serves beer and the hotel has an on site restaurant.  The resaurant has a limited menu, but the food was the best that we ate anywhere in Nakskov.  All the staff were helpful and friendly.  The rooms have decent wifi, a shared ironing board, basic tv stations, but no tea/ coffee making kit.  the breakfast is continental style with a nice selection of meat/ cheese and bread with cereals, fruit juice and coffee.
If i was going back to Naksov i'd definitely stay here again

Not the Eurovision end of Denmark

The hotel is close to a park and it's quiet accordingly. The beds are very good and not too hard so I could sleep well. The room had a rug on which there was still dust. It seems not to be fully sucked. The shower had some mold on the edges. The shower head couldn't be properly fixed, so the beam didn't go anywhere but to the body. The water temperature was not adjustable, i.e. it couldn't be set to warmer than 25 degrees. The breakfast was 2 weeks above the expiration date. I hadn't picked it up and the disgusting temperature. The price ratio is not okay. For 99€ you can expect more. The steak in the restaurant in the evening alone was really recommended and it was really worth visiting because the restaurant is very easy to reach. The restaurant is located in the parking lot and is very convenient to visit.

For one night all right

This hotel is situated in a forrest with high old trees and beautiful surroundings with a small lake. The restaurant serves fine danish food and there is a good feeling of being in the real Denmark. The rooms a clean and have all necessities. The breakfast is OK and since I pay with cash I don,t have to worry about 4% addition to the bill.
