We booked an overnight stay in the short term, we had no high expectations, but we were positively surprised. Although the hotel is a little out of the way, it has a certain shyness. It is an old mansion. The rooms are simple, but completely adequate. It is nice to be able to sit and enjoy yourself in the evening in good weather in different parts of the countryside. Breakfast is sufficient and it is constantly sought after.

Good location for travel

Very affordable and simple accommodation with a very delicious breakfast. Good location for a stopover. Beautiful garden friendly staff. Unfortunately, the charging unit the e-vehicle was not in operation.

Cheap and tidy

This has happened to us for the first time on our many journeys: the former Altenheim is being carefully rebuilt, piece by piece, into a pleasant B&B hotel for years. So several categories have emerged: from the recently renovated modernly furnished rooms with their own bathroom to the very simple 70-year-old youth hostel rooms without any comfort and community bathroom on the floor. If we could know and recognize something like this beforehand, then we would have had to make the free choice to choose for a pleasant B&B hotel at the requested price - yes or no - we could have thought a lot.

Warning: previously unnoticed GREAT differences in the quality of the rooms!

Perfect for short stops, I booked through booking, and I happened to have a really nice room with a very large and clean private bathroom.

All right!

On the way further south this looked like a convenient overnight before heading on to Germany, an so it was! Essentially on the motorway down to Rødby, you're right in the middle of fields in a nice old building with a small garden, too. The town Maribo is a 15 minute drive away, a beutiful compct town, with a couple of nice restaurants, too. Locally at the hotel services are scarce, but if staying just over night it shouldn't be any issue. The hotel is more of the B&B, the room was basic but nice, clean and proper. Excellent beds, but the bathroomcould perhaps do with a facelift. Anyways, clean and fresh, good shower. The area just around the hotel at least tempted me to go for a good jog, much recommended. So, all in all, if you're looking for a good B&B on your way past, go for this. Priceworthy, good basic standard, good breakfast. 

Roadtrip overnight

We have not been able to find a lot of space in the middle of our tour. The place is very pleasant and the structure is nice from the outside and also from the inside. Nice and cozy rooms. Breakfast is discreet which can be improved in variety. Comfortable free parking right in front of the structure.

Small and cozy...

This B&B was a nice surprise. Our room was so beautiful like the building itself. Breakfast was surprisingly good with many varieties. We recommend this place for couples and families. The only minus comes from the railway close to the house but trains didn´t bother us and we slept well.

Very nice place

The rooms are tiny and extremely overpriced. 
The staff, owners as we could understand it, were quite unfriendly and even rude... 
The local train pass though close to the house and quite frequently I might add. 
Good breakfast though! And the highway is close but out if hearing distance.

Not a nice place

We spend one night on the way to Sweden. Close to the ferry Puttgarden-Rodby. Not far from the highway.  

Old style building with a big garden. We had a small room on the ground floor. Room was not big but enough for one night. Good bed. Nice breakfast with fresh bread. One comment; much daylight came in so we woke up early.
