My family and I stayed here for a month in July and really enjoyed it.  The big french windows with a view of the water was outstanding and very relaxing.  The area around the hotel is lively due to the Cafe Razz across the street.  There is no staff on duty, all is done via envelopes, key cards and e-mail.  We found the owner to be very nice and accommodating to all our needs.  There is a private garage available for use at an extra fee as well.  I would recommend this place highly.

Nice little getaway in Middelfart

Stayed en route to Copenhagen . Nice, basic room with a good sized balcony (No view as on the back) . Really nothing wrong with it , just feel that with no bar/restaurant (or fridge in room) and without a working tv (in our room), it is just a little overpriced . As there is not even a receptionist (all done by keypad) , Not sure what overheads they have to make it the price it is .

Decent overnight stop off .

We stayed in apartment 2.2. Two bedrooms, one loft, a very big living room and fully equipped kitchen. The view from the balcony is beautiful: the little belt, Jutland, and the new bridge between Fyn and Jutland. You can stroll along the beach, go shopping in the main street, or use it as a comfortable base for excursions or sports (cycling, fishing, scuba). Go to the tourist centre (at the library) and get leaflets about all you can do around. Near the library there's a fishing shop for anything you may possibly need.

Amazing

This apartment hotel is right on the waterfront in the town of Middelfart - we had a one bedroom on the back with an almost fully equipped kitchen (no microwave...but a dishwasher!). Two grocery stores in walking distance (Kvickly and Fakta) enabled us to cook our own meals to help offset the high cost of restaurants. Garages are also available, but parking on the street is free and we never had a problem obtaining a spot out front. 

There are lots of sights nearby, including Hindsgavl wildlife park, numerous Marinas and the Brende Molle.

Apartment on the waterfront

Our top-floor apartment had an excellent view over Little Belt and both the old and new bridge.
The apartment had two bedrooms and a loft, each for two people. The master bedroom had its own bathroom with a jacuzzi. For the others there was another bathroom. The loft is accessible by a ladder. There was also an almost fully equipped kitchen lacking only a microwave oven.
The WiFi was free, but quite slow and sluggish.
We had a garage, which was handy with a few caveats: The door was "semi-automatic", as the motor wasn't quite strong enough to open or close it by itself, but needed a hand both ways. Also, people may not observe the no parking sign on the door, and your car may be stuck in the garage unable to leave with another car in front. Didn't really happen to us, but is not unheard of.
There's a garden in the back with neatly trimmed hedges and flowerbeds.
The town square is nearby, and there starts a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. To the west is the Hindsgavl peninsula, with nature trails and beaches.
We never really saw much of the personnel, since all of the transactions were done online.
