This hotel is quite a gem outside Copenhagen. Situated by the harbor you will definitely have a great view of the sea and the town. The room is nice and clean with a seating area. The staff/owner is very nice, friendly and so accommodating. Breakfast is served in a very cozy and homey way and the food is typical breakfast items. The seating room of the hotel is the most stylish place of this hotel. The function room is also very stylish. So worth the money to stay in this provincial hotel. Would very much like to come back.

Very nice hotel in the province

Its an old-fashioned Hotel right in the middle of Skaelskor in south-west Denmark on the island of Zealand. A large old home which has been converted. Its homely in that its stuffed full of old furniture and nic-nacs appropriate for the style and age of the building - no  Danish/modern minimalism here! Beds were comfy with glorious down duvets and Euro-style pillows while the bathroom was small but adequate and the water hot. Window had a view of the charming fishing harbour. Breakfasts are served in the very nice dining room and it's serve yourself from a very adequate choice of Euro style with salmon or cold meats and dark bread, or international with boiled eggs, yoghurt and muesli, fresh seasonal fruit, bread rolls of many sorts...juice and coffee. A good start to the day.  It's a great place to stay to set the right mood for a charming and pretty small town on the coast that is also an important centre for ceramic art for the entire country. We enjoyed our stay. No lift or rooms on the ground floor I think which may be an issue for some. Only problem was lack of English language TV - CNN reception too patchy and just Animal Planet not enough for those evenings in!

Traditional and old fashioned but all the better for that!

A rather sad experience. Bathroom completely outdated, a lot of noise from the street below, dubious spots on the curtains, my towel UNDER the bedspread (why?). The room smelling of tobacco. Quirky can be rather cosy but this actually wasn't.

Old and ... old

Really nice. The only problem is that I have trouble walking and there is no elevator. This is a very old home (about 110 years) converted to hotel. I asked for in advanced and got a first floor room. Bed very comfortable. Good wi fi connection. Don't watch TV so the channels on TV is irrelevant. The owner of the hotel is a delight and couldn't possibly be more helpful.
Parking is right across the street, is free and plentiful. 
There is a restaurant in this hotel and the food is delicious and reasonable. 
The hotel has three floors and is right next to the water front. It is incredibly beautiful area and a stroll along the beachfront is a must for those not hadicapped by being right after knee surgery like myself. 
Will definitely be back to this boutiqe hotel. Overall very good experience. 
Very good breakfast in a lovely dinning room.
Price was very reasonable for Denmark. $79 a night at booking.com

Delightful

We stayed here for a couple of nights earlier this month& had a pretty room on the second floor overlooking the harbour. The hostess was particularly charming & spoke excellent English. We enjoyed our breakfast in the lovely surroundings in this 19th century large hotel. We were able to park our car in the car park opposite the hotel.. A very enchanting Danush town.
