We enjoyed staying in this historic hotel which is quite different from most others I have stayed at in Denmark. The room was fairly basic but quite clean. There was only a sink in the room as the bathrooms were down the hall; they were clean too, and it wasn't a problem especially as we were just staying  one night. The breakfast was excellent, and the indoor and outdoor seating areas were both very pleasant. We didn't go to the main restaurant at the front of the hotel; it is very expensive. Free parking was easy to get right in front of the hotel in the street. Service was friendly and professional.  I would stay here again. 

Charming Historic Hotel with Great Breakfast

I like historic hotels, but the price must reflect what you get. I stayed in the Admiral Building, and it was underwhelming to say the least. Worn out, bad beds, very run down bathroom etc. I payed DKK 2.095,- for one night in a double room. Half the price would have been more suitable for this room and the breakfast. I'm never returning. 

Worn out, overpriced hotel

This hotel has been my home in March and was also the first choice when I was due to return in June for shipyard work and completion of MS Rav (fishing boat).
The people who work at the hotel have become part of my family, they are warm and cordial all that one, a wonderful stay

Exquisite classic hotel in the heart of Skagen

We checked in for two nights in this old, historic hotel. Unfortunately our stay also included historic dust and grime in our room at the annex, Admiralgaarden, quite honestly it was unacceptable. Our room was not clean, the corridors and stairwell in the annex ditto and we spotted quite worrying electrical installations and an emergency exit partially blocked by cleaning equipment and supplies. I must admit we did not complain as we already on arrival felt the attitude of the staff to be lacking in interest. And we had a “nice” experience in the restaurant as well. All in all, even if we knew we bought into a “historical” property, this place only deserves 2/5 for the location and the very nice piece of layer cake we had on the lawn in front of the hotel. Rubbish, we’re never coming back. 

Run down and overpriced, saved by location

This hotel  was the meeting place for Nordic painters about 100 years ago  It has a nice atmosphere and a lot of charm.  We stayed in " Trolles hus", as small fisherman's cottage which is a part of the hotel, across the street. It is a modest accommodation but with a nice ambiance.
The breakfast room was in a separate building in the garden .Excellent selection of breads and everything else.

Forsure the place represents historie. But the Anneks we stayed in was old. Compared to  prise i dont think the funiture, bed etc was matching. Desipointed about the beds. 
Breakfast was very good.. atmosphere at the main hotel was fine.. anneks was 100 meter from. In the "Anneks" (building 100 m away) you could here people in the other room to much

A lot of historie

Outstanding positives, smiling and accommodating from morning to night, a wonderful stay at a historic hotel.
An atmosphere you would like to return to at a later time, compared to other accommodation in Skagen, is the most homely place for me.
