Stayed in beach front building 2 of Ocean dream complex from end of July to early August. The complex is well kept, conveniently located just outside the center of town. There are security 24/7. 

There are no elevator in any of the building. I have a 4th floor unit so carrying two huge luggages up 4 flights of stairs was a pain. The view from beach front unit was amazing. I can kitesurfing right outside. There are rinse station and a nice beach front pool.

Overall no major complaint about the complex other than walking up and down 4 flights of stair 7-8 times a day was tiring. Units in the complex are also higher priced than nearby rental. I would probably stay in a different complex with elevator if I return.

Paid 2000 deposit to LaAgemcyrd..rental agent..Pierre
1650 plus cable for December holiday.
Obviously did not check apartment. Toilet, refer, stove, 2 showers, cable not working. Told it was minor inconvience and previous renter did not complain. Told them to keep 2000 deposit,refund rent after moving out in 12 days. Was given lawyers name and told all legal disputes handled in Spanish. Owner, Pierre did not even have courage to return my call.
No refund, no apology, complete RIPOFF!!!

RIPOFF

Visually, safely and aesthetically, the place to be. Almost everything without the disadvantage of being close to people. A very good social life. The complex is ultra clean and well maintained. On the other hand, more dangerous than Covid-19, Nick the Russian who advertises more than five apartments. Not to date. No reliability. Doing business with a recognized agency is much more reliable.

The dream complex

The site is perfect. I have lived there every winter for nine years. However, be careful who you rent. Different properties, different prices and above all not to trade with anyone. The units 411-412-111-8311-8314 are all owned by the same individual, Russian. During our four-month stay Entrance without permission, missing property and refusal to return the security deposit are just some of the shortcomings with this owner.

A Sad Truth

I stayed here previously and liked the place. The units are very close to the street -the traffic noise can be canceled with earplugs . but  a   new bar, with no doors or windows, has  opened across the street  and the music is pounding, till late on random occasions,  keeping me  awake till 1-2 am. The management of the building does not make any effort to ask the bar to turn the music down or   provide me with   the sound regulations, which I believe is 10 pm and certain decibels . I allied police  a couple of times - nobady came   I am getting partially refunded for the nights  when the noise was going on .  I  do not recommend this place

Noise

Spent 4 nights in this very nice apartment,it's very well equipped with everything you'll need for holiday from comfortable beds to bottle opener. We would certainly retuns to this very popular & safe place.

Nice break

We have stayed there previously and recently given second chance and nope 👎 the apt are not so bad the screwed up admin office you have to deal with l’ arcience in front of building isn’t worth the hassle . 

To many rules 

We rented the property through Airbnb and the experience was wonderful: a very well-maintained project, very secure, close to where everything happens in Cabarete, but not close enough to be disturbed by the noise.

It is excellent.

Very nice condos with beautiful vegetation! Near everything is easy to do on foot, 2 minutes from the beach. Very clean, household maintenance twice a week. Barbecue by the pool. Very safe, with security guards at the entrance.

What's the big deal?

The studio at Ocean Dream, which we had rented for 3 months, needed a lot of love. I had to waste a day of vacation cleaning the cabinets without telling you the state of the kitchen items. Sales, broken and spoiled. Ex: knives that didn't cut, no scissors, the bread grill that worked only on one side and the Russian-born owner never wanted to replace it by telling us that if we weren't happy, we'd buy one. And so on... burned lights, extra mega-salt oven, we had to pay a maid to avoid the kitchen kit at the end.
