My friend and I rented an apartment here for about 6 days to celebrate the New Year. The pictures are spot on. It was a cute apartment conveniently located a few minutes from the beach (about a 10 minute walk). The apartment came with dishes and  bathtowels but you have to be prepared to buy things like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc. I think it would be great if there was an option to have someone clean during the stay, rather than only after, and if the complex sprayed for mosquitos. The balcony and pool are beautiful but you'd be eaten alive my mosquitos. Perhaps some repellant candles or something would be nice so that the outdoor spaces can be enjoyed. All in all I would definitely rent again.

Wonderful Stay

My friend and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment, with one bath and all the amenities. The units looked new and very clean. The location was off the main drag and was set in a tropic location. With a strong security gate. Not that I believe it was needed. The pool was a beautiful deep turquoise blue. 
Everything about this residence is in the thumbs up column. Both Vickie and Myself. Were very sadden, on Our departure. We hope to return same time next year.

Home away from home.

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst traveling round the country. The apartment that we were in was very spacious and clean. It made a lovely start to our holiday! It was nice to have secure parking and the pool was also great. I liked staying just outside the main tourist area. 
The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to the area. 
The accommodation was fantastic value! 

Fantastic quality and great value! 

We were pleasantly surprised with the apartment.  We are here for 2 weeks.  
The balcony is huge with two sitting areas overlooking the garden and pool. We sit and eat there all the time. Love it.

There is a TV with one English channel which is CNN.  That is great  for news.  There is also a washing machine.The property is gated with a guard. There is a safe.  We use the fans but there is A/C if you need it at $10 a day. Not necessery.

This is a safe area with many, many restaurants and stores around.  We are within walking distance to the largest super market Lido  and Scotiabank. There are no charges on the ATM if you are a Scotiabank customer.

The swimming pool is fairly large and very nice.  Hardly anyone using it. 

If I should mention anything negative is that there are only two pillows  and two bath towels. Only minor.

The rate for this apartment is also really great.  They could easily charge more.

Fantastic swimming pool   and everything you need in the apartment

I spent 7 nights at Residencia Caoba in April 2016. A few friends rented a villa nearby and i wanted to join them but needed to find a room. Caoba looks just as pictured with nicely maintained landscape. 

I think Caoba gets a 5 star rating just based on how safe I felt. I forgot the groundskeeper/security guys name but he was great and always available to help. He even offered us a ride on his bike on our second day there which was great as it was our first time in Las Terrenas.

This apartment is great for the independent traveler. If you need to be pampered or catered to this might not be the place for you. The hot water always worked. The wifi was also reliable. The apartment was clean upon arrival and we were promptly returned our security deposit unon departure. 

The lights went out a few times but just for a few minutes and never really affected us in anyway. Towels and linens are not replenished throughout your stay but a washing machine is available in the apartment. All of this was explained to us prior to arrival so i wasnt caught by surprise. 

I highly recommend caoba to the independent traveler. I rented a four wheeler and traveled all through out Las Terrenas and was provided 1 parking spot at caoba which was great.

Very safe and reliable

We stayed for 1 month in Jan/Feb 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment we rented was in a block of 8 flats on the 2nd floor (3rd in DR) with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The property was only 2 mins walk from the hustle and bustle of Las Terrenas but set way back from the road so was very quiet, bar the odd dog. The apartment was well equipped with everything needed to self cater and had a washing machine. It was very clean, bright and airy with modern decor. We often had the pool all to ourselves. The grounds/pool were very well kept by the helpful man at the gatehouse who brought us water when we ran out. It was only 10 mins walk to 2 large supermarkets and 5 mins walk to the beach. Would highly recommend. Thank you to lovely Stephanie, who kindly met us, checked us out and ordered a cab for us and Marjolaine who helpfully organised the booking.
