What a wonderful experience! Starting with the professional greeting of reception staff who were able to communicate in English if required to, the delightful welcome drink 🥤 ( non alcohol), the smiling positive attitudes of all staff encountered. (The manager: Wellington, actually offered to help me navigate the local bus system) Wow, that is above and beyond expectations!! Every aspect of this hotel, from the immaculate lobby, to the spectacular roof top pools, bar, and restaurant, to the fine dining at the Hacienda restaurant demonstrates excellence! As do the spotless, well designed rooms. The customer service skills displayed by staff demonstrates a sense of pride not often reflected in the service industry. Hats off to Hacienda Samana Bay Hotel and Restaurant!!

Excellence Beyond Expectations! Hacienda Samana Bay

It's easy to recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Samana. The website gives an accurate description of the establishment. There has been a continuous development of the site and they are currently completing the fourth block. We were in no way troubled by building noise.
You, as a hotel guest, will almost certainly be allocated a room on the front and original block as the other blocks are being sold as condos. The aircon is good and the view is great.
When making your reservation just be sure you know which room you are to be allocated. Our Booking.com process was faultless but if you can get the hotel to answer emails, and have some spanish language you may well get a better rate dealing direct.
Our room was very good with a super view over Samana Bay. Just do a snagging check on entering your room the first time. We were missing some of the provided cooking utensils, the hob was not working, and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was not full. Immediately this was all corrected with apologetic smiles and from then on the stay was faultless. Linen is changed daily.
The rooftop pool area is an absolute instagram event, although a little short on shade. There is free secure spacious underground parking. The hotel restaurant is satisfactory and reasonably priced.
I have no desire to stay at an 'all-inclusive' hotel and consequently can give the opinion that this is easily the best hotel on Samana Bay

Hacienda Samana Bay Hotel- The Best

The view is indeed breathtaking but the hotel itself is truly fantastic! The studio is nicely furnished with kitchenette for late breakfast an lunch or snack at night. The bed is very comfy.  Restaurant is also very good even if a little pricey but many others are close by. The roof where you can find pools, bars and restaurant is just incredible! I will certainly return very soon!

Wonderful view

Stayed 4 nights in a Junior Suite w views of the bridge and bay from the terrace. Complimentary bottled water replenished daily. Small kitchenette w small fridge, two burner stove, cooking essentials such as pots, pans, silverware. 
Very complete buffet breakfast. Lovely dinner menu, including reasonably priced wine.  Great pools on the rooftop terrace w great views of the bridge and the bay.

The water temperature in the shower constantly changed from scorching hot to cold, while you are taking our shower. Very annoying! We are not heavy people and it was challenging getting in and out of the shower.  The space was very narrow between the shower glass and the toilet. 

Overall,  good location w parking if needed. 


Beautiful views of the Samaná Bridge and bay.

The installation is very well taking care, the smell to clean and new, the view at the bay was awesome, the bartenders and drinks at the tiki bar at the roof were phenomenal and the staff is absolutely nice from the garage to the roof. The food at the restaurant very tasty and the crew very helpful. Lobby helped us to find excursions!
